On InZane Rugby League this week - Zane Bojack and former Raiders halfback Sam Williams are joined by Melbourne Storm General Manager of Football and NSW Head of High Performance Frank Ponissi to preview Origin 2 and discuss the likelihood of the club retaining their stars from the threat of the Perth Bears. Ponissi says he has a soft spot for the Bears as a former football boss at the club but does not want them to pillage the Storm like the Dolphins did in 2023. He said Melbourne is willing to discuss roster management with Mal Meninga to ensure the Bear's success but not at the expense of the Storm's playing list. Zane and Sam also discussed the coach Mal Meninga is chasing to be his protege, the changes Billy Slater made to Queensland for Game 2 and the weekend's magic moment in Canberra when Josh Papalii scored two tries and kicked a conversion in his record-breaking 319th match for the Raiders.

‘Fake Adam Schefter' Cowboys Signing of Micah Parsons Fools NFL
FRISCO - I've never quite understood the attraction of the mean-spirited practical joke intended to deceive rather than amuse ... And here we go again. The exhausting saga that is the contract situation of Dallas Cowboys' pass-rushing linebacker Micah Parsons will eventually come to a conclusion ... and, I bet, one that pleases most everybody involved. Advertisement We were first to have reported that Micah and Jerry Jones have privately discussed the terms of a five-year deal totaling $200 million; Jones has since essentially confirmed our scoop on how some of the essentially factors in a deal are in place. But it's not done until it's done. And it's certainly not done because one of those social-media "Fake Adam Schefter'' accounts says it it. Yes, Philadelphia Eagles stud Saquon Barkley is congratulating his old Penn State pal Micah about the apparent "five-year, $203.5 million extension that includes $147.5 million guaranteed.'' And yes, Cowboys teammate Sam Williams is reacting, too. But it's all fake. It's not ESPN's "Adam Schefter's'' account; it's "Adam Schelfer.'' Advertisement Is this funny? Who is giggling outside of the dope in his mom's basement who is so proud to have lured thousand of NFL fans into his stupid lair? What's real? With a contract set to make Micah the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, naturally, a deal of that magnitude takes the longer it goes, the more nervous fans sit in their seats. They want a Parsons deal as soon as possible. And Cowboys COO Stephen Jones thinks something will get not right now. "I don't comment on close or far away or any of that," Jones said. "Those things, usually, when the right things come together and everybody's ready to do a deal, then it happens. Certainly, we want Micah here, and he knows we want him here, and I think ultimately, we'll get something done." Advertisement So it appears that a contract will get done with Micah and the Cowboys, it will just take time. ... with sources having told that Jerry Jones and Micah have had discussions mentioning a deal for five years worth $200 million. But as we saw last offseason with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, these contract situations can be a distraction, and for a new leader of the locker room in Micah, no doubt, he wants to get his deal done before training camp so he can focus on football. Whether that happens or not is unknown, but going by Stephen's words, there is a positive thought to Parsons' potential extension. So it isn't closer than it was a month ago, but the Cowboys want No. 11 to stick around. The best way to do that and eliminate all of these unnecessary headlines is to put pen to paper and sort out Micah's future. Advertisement Which will happen in due time ... just not imminently. Woman shows how she turned drab patio into slice of heaven that's the perfect spot for a cuppa – & it all cost under £50
A WOMAN has revealed how she transformed her drab looking patio into a cosy haven where she can enjoy a cuppa. With the temperatures set to climb again next week and summer now just around the corner, many of us will be making plans to spend more time in the garden. 2 2 And whether you intend on hosting friends for a garden party, or just want a cosy spot to relax in by yourself, you may have noticed that your garden patio needs a bit of a revamp after a winter of neglect. Although you may think that renovating your patio will cost a fortune amid the cost of living crisis, one woman has shown how you can do it yourself on a shoestring budget. Taking to the Gardening on a Budget Facebook page, the woman revealed that she had decided to make herself a DIY mini-patio in her front garden, so that she could enjoy a cup of tea in the sun. She purchased 18 patio slabs from Selco, priced at just £2.82 each, and lay them herself, with the help of a bag of sand. The whole project cost her around £50, far cheaper than the average cost of laying a patio in the UK, which according to Checkatrade is £3250. Encouraging others to try making their own DIY patio, the woman said: "I Love having a morning cuppa in the sunshine but I don't get much sun around the back so I decided to make more of a mini Patio around the front. "The slabs were £2.82 each and I also used a few bags of sand. "Lots of tears and a broken nail later I did it and I am very proud of myself. "Never doubt yourself because you can." The post was flooded with positive responses from DIY fans, praising the woman for her budget makeover. The experts advised: 'If you have a loose paving slab, then it's unlikely it can be lifted straight by hand. Instead, you will probably need a hammer and chisel to prise the paver free of your patio. 'To remove loose paving slabs without damaging your flagstones, carefully chip away at the mortar around the paving slab with the plugging chisel and rubber mallet until the slab comes completely loose. 'Then, slide the spade into the gap left by the mortar and prise the paver free of the patio. "As you lift it up, place a short piece of timber underneath the spade to act as a lever, making it easier for you while protecting the slab underneath. The expert revealed that the "most effective" patio cleaning hack is to simply combine washing up liquid with warm water. Washing up liquid can be purchased for as little as 55p from the supermarket, and most UK households will already have a bottle in the kitchen cupboard. For the most effective results, Sam advised mixing a tablespoon of washing-up liquid with a bucket of warm water, to create a soapy solution. Then, he advised throwing the solution onto the patio before giving it a hard scrub using a bristle brush.

BRANDON, Miss. (WJTV) – Brandon High School is now searching for their next head football coach. After four seasons, Sam Williams is stepping down to take a job at UMS-Wright in Alabama. Williams had a successful tenure at Brandon, appearing in four South State Championships and two State Title appearances.
