"What's wrong with that?": Telangana Minister on Congress asking questions concerning Operation Sindoor
New Delhi [India], May 31 (ANI): Telangana Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy on Saturday slammed BJP leader Sambit Patra for his 'Pakistan ke babbar' jibe at party leaders and said there is nothing wrong in asking questions of the government about account of gains and losses during a military conflict. 'If somebody asks if India has lost a fighter aircraft, what is wrong with that. Today, (CDS) General Chauhan gave this answer, so what is wrong if any Congress leader asks this question?... Whenever there is a conflict, all nations give their victories and losses. To a question asked by Congress leaders, why did the BJP react that we are anti-national and anti-patriotic?. What will they say today when General Chauhan has said that we lost a fighter aircraft?' he told ANI. Talking to the media, Reddy also talked about to US remarks about mediation. 'As it appears very clearly, Rafale aircraft were shot down in the foreday operations... An hour ago, CDS General Anil Chauhan confirmed this... The government of India should now stop denying this...' He also says, 'The government has never explained why US President Trump announced the ceasefire before either of the DGMOs of both countries spoke,' he said. India carried out Operation Sindoor on May 7 and launched precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoJK in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. India also repelled subsequent Pakistan aggression and pounded its airbases. Sambit Patra had attacked the Congress and said party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Jairam Ramesh had not asked how many Pakistan airbases were destroyed or terrorists were killed. 'Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh, and Revanth Reddy are asking how many Rafales were shot down. 'Yeh jo Pakistan ke Babbar hain, woh Hindustan ke Gabbar hain'. Rahul Gandhi did not ask how many Pakistani airbases were destroyed, how many terrorists were killed; rather, he only asked how many Indian planes were shot down. Today, there are two factions in Congress - one which supports Pakistan and the other which wants to raise a voice for the country but is unable to do so because of you. Your 'Jai Hind Yatra' looks like 'Pakistan's Hind Yatra' and you should stop this yatra and hold a joint press conference with Pakistan', Sambit Patra had said. (ANI)

Had Rafale crashed there would have been wreckage: Sambit
New Delhi: BJP MP Sambit Patra on Friday hit out at the Congress party for the repeated questioning of 'damages and downing' of Rafale fighter jets by Pakistan during the Operation Sindoor face-off and claimed that top leadership of the party have started 'toeing' Pakistan line and also parroting their narrative. Sambit Patra said that Congress claimed to be standing with the nation, but in reality, they have been questioning the valour of our armed forces from Day one of the operation. Patra asserted that India destroyed nine terror camps and 11 Pakistani air bases in military strikes, the evidence of which is available in the form of satellite images, but Congress will not believe its forces. The party will rely only on Pakistani propaganda.'If a Rafale had crashed, there would be wreckage and proof. There is none,' he said, accusing Congress of fanning doubt. The BJP spokesman further said that from Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh, and Revanth Reddy, all of them are making deplorable statements to demoralise our armed forces and weaken their morale. 'They never stood with the nation and armed forces, they have been asking from Day 1 -- how many Indian fighter jets were destroyed by Pakistan and this despite the fact that DGMO stated out facts with proper evidence,' said Patra. He also expressed shock over Congress in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh, whom he called the right-hand man of the Gandhi family, linking the Pahalgam terrorists with Parliamentarians of the all-party delegation, currently on a global outreach mission.

‘Mamata Banerjee said what should never be spoken': BJP slams Bengal CM for ‘sindoor' remark on PM Modi
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday, May 30, chastised West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her remarks targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he was touring the state. The saffron party also rejected as fake news a media report that claimed the party planned to distribute vermilion among women to mark the government's anniversary. Speaking of Mamata Banerjee's remarks, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra said, 'Mamata Banerjee has said what should never be spoken. No politician or elected representative should use a language... [she said] 'Is PM Modi the husband of every woman?' What kind of language is this?' Yes, Modi is a 'sewak' (servant) to all – like a father figure to some and a brother to others, Sambit Patra said. Attacking Mamata Banerjee, Sambit Patra said, 'There is no doubt, however, that if someone has worked to shelter Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingyas, it is Mamata Banerjee. They are fond of her.' He accused opposition parties, which had cited the report to slam the BJP for politicising Operation Sindoor, of spreading this propaganda to belittle India's military action against Pakistan and terror sites there. After the prime minister hit at Bengal government, Mamata Banerjee hit back at PM Modi over the 'sindoor' report, saying, 'Please remember, every woman has respect, they accept sindoor only from her husband... The way you are talking... you are not the husband of everybody; why are you not giving sindoor to your Mrs first?' Banerjee had said she did not want to get into such details but claimed that she was compelled to do so. 'The Centre named it Operation Sindoor for political gains ahead of upcoming elections [in various states],' she alleged. 'First, he [PM Modi] used to call himself a tea-seller, then a chowkidar, and now he has come to sell sindoor. He cannot sell sindoor like this,' Mamata Banerjee said.

‘Pakistan ke Babbar, Hindustan ke Gabbar': BJP slams Revanth Reddy over Rafale remark
Sambit Patra also attacked Jairam Ramesh for his remarks over the multi-party delegation and said that he "equated terrorists with MPs". The BJP leader asserted that the MPs did not go on a tour; they went to strongly represent India's side in front of the whole world. "Jairam Ramesh, who is the right-hand of the Gandhi family, gives a statement, and he says in his statement that terrorists are roaming around, MPs are also roaming around. You have equated terrorists with MPs. MPs did not go on a tour, they went to strongly present India's side in the world, and your MPs are also included in it", Sambit Patra added. He also accused he previous UPA government of calling terrorists to the PMO and mentioned that the Indian Armed Forces destroyed nine Pakistan terror hideouts, for which the satellite images were also shown regarding the operation. "There was a time when terrorists were called to the PMO... We should also remember the day when Sonia ji cried after seeing the bodies of terrorists... The Indian Army destroyed nine terrorist hideouts. Satellite pictures were shown. DGMO presented all the facts", Sambit Patra said. Earlier on Thursday, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy said that Rahul Gandhi and party President Mallikarjun Kharge attended the all-party meeting and extended their full support to the Centre and made it clear that India should fight against Pakistan to merge the PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) with India. As per an official statement, the Chief Minister said that he had already declared his full support for splitting Pakistan into two countries. He objected to calling off the 'war' by the Modi government at the behest of US President Donald Trump's orders. "Pakistan has downed Rafale fighter jets, which were brought by PM Modi, when asked how many downed? There's no discussion. PM Modi, who purchased war fighter jets from another country, should answer how many Rafale jets have been downed by Pakistan. You have favoured thousands of crores worth of contracts to people who are close to you and purchased Rafale jets, but why did they get destroyed? You should answer this," said Reddy. Reddy reiterated that the Congress and the Gandhi family have a history of sacrificing their lives for the country. Calling PM Modi a spent force, the CM appealed to the party leaders and workers to strive hard and not relax until Rahul Gandhi became Prime Minister. Further, the Telangana Chief Minister lashed out at the recent Tiranga Rally of the BJP, stating that the Congress is organising Jai Hind Yatra to restore self-confidence among Indian soldiers who were demoralised by the BJP's moves.

‘Babbar of Pakistan': BJP doubles down on Revanth Reddy over Rafale jets question
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday hit out at Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy over his remarks on Rafale fighter jets used during India's Operation Sindoor, with Sambit Patra calling him the 'Babbar of Pakistan". Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Sambit Patra lashed out at the Congress for its leaders' questions and jibes at the government following the conflict with Pakistan, and alleged that the opposition party's ongoing 'Jai Hind Yatra' looks more like 'Jai Pakistan Yatra'. The BJP national spokesperson said senior Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy, have often asked about the number of aircraft India lost in the conflict, and accused Jairam Ramesh of equating MPs travelling abroad as members of all-party delegations with terrorists. Addressing the 'Jai Hind' rally in Hyderabad on Thursday, Revanth Reddy demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi explain to 140 crore Indians how many Rafale aircraft were shot down by the Pakistani Army during the recent conflict. Rahul Gandhi never asked about the details of terror sites and air bases destroyed in Pakistan, but his party has enquired about the losses of Indian jets more frequently than the neighbouring country, Patra alleged. These leaders are like "babbar" (warrior) of Pakistan, he said, adding that they are gabbar of India, invoking the villain of iconic film Sholay, and added they will meet the same fate as the bandit did in the hands of heroes Jai and Veeru. "Gabbar's defeat is certain due to India's jai (glory) and veerta (valour)." He noted that even Congress MPs are part of the seven all-party delegations currently on a visit to world capitals to put across India's stand following the Pahalgam terror attack and its punitive strikes against Pakistan. These Congress MPs are doing a good job as the delegations are strongly projecting India's stand but Ramesh in one breath is comparing them to terrorists, he said. The Congress chief spokesperson had said on Thursday that the terrorists behind the Pahalgam attack are roaming, and so are these MPs abroad. Patra cited controversial statements of a number of Congress leaders, including some questioning military conflict with Pakistan and the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, after the Pahalgam attack. 'The Congress should suspend its Jai Hind Yatra, which is more like Jai Pakistan Yatra, and instead consult with Pakistan and hold a joint press conference,' he said, claiming that Gandhi has been quoted frequently in Pakistan. He noted that another Congress leader Salman Khurshid, who is a member of one of the delegarions, had spoken about the changes brought by the revocation of Article 370, and said somebody should relay the former Union minister's remarks to Gandhi. At the rally, Revanth Reddy sought to know why PM Narendra Modi, who had called for an all-party meeting before going to war with Pakistan, did not do so before calling off the armed conflict with the neighbouring country. "The soldiers of this (Secunderabad ) Cantonment participated in the war. The war planes being manufactured in Telangana upheld respect for our country. Rafale aircraft brought by Narendra Modi were shot down by Pakistan. There is no discussion on how many Rafales were shot down. Narendra Modi should answer how many Rafale aircraft were shot down by Pakistan during the recent war. You give us the account," he asked.
