According to a release put out Monday by the Girl Scouts of the Black Diamond Council, 48,228 boxes of cookies recently arrived at Mylan Park and have been picked up by Girl Scout troops across Monongalia, Marion and Taylor counties. This year's available flavors include:
Samoas
Tagalongs
Thin Mints
Trefoils
Do-si-dos
Girl Scout S'mores
Toffee-Tastics
Lemon-Ups
'Megalodon' goldfish found in Pennsylvania waterways
If you're interested in getting a box for yourself, you can purchase them online, as well as at many booths that the scouts set up around the region. You can find the closest one to you by clicking here.
The release said 55% of local cookie proceeds go toward Black Diamond Council-sponsored programming and events. The remaining 45% is split between the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, as well as other costs related to selling and delivering cookies.
