IceHogs make it two straight wins in Milwaukee; headed home to Rockford
MILWAUKEE, WI. (WTVO/WQRF) — Yep, playoff hockey is different than regular season hockey, and the Rockford IceHogs seem to be built for the former. The Hogs were only 31-33-6-2 in the regular season, and they finished in fourth place in the AHL's Central Division, but they're on fire night they ran their postseason record to 4-0 by dominating the Central Division Champion Milwaukee Admirals on the Admirals home ice. The Hogs won 6-1. It's their second win in three nights in Anderson had a hat track barely a minute into the second period. He scored a pair of goals in the first period and then got his third tally just minutes after the first intermission ended. Anderson also had an assist. Samuel Savoie, Brett Seney and Aidan Thompson also scored goals for the IceHogs. Drew Commesso ran his postseason record to 4-0 by turning away 30 Milwaukee shots on IceHogs lead the best-of-five series 2 games to none. The next two games, if both are needed, will be played in Rockford this coming Wednesday night and then on Friday IceHogs swept their way through their opening playoff opponent the Chicago Wolves in two games.
