Leader of Revolution: We seek stronger stand in support of Palestine amid unprecedented suffering
Sana'a – SABA: The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, affirmed that the Israeli aggression targeting Sana'a International Airport is part of a broader attempt to pressure the Yemeni people for their unwavering stance in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people. At the start of his lecture delivered this afternoon—part of his ongoing Quranic lecture series—Sayyed al-Houthi emphasized that the Israeli enemy seeks to isolate the Palestinian people, hoping for no reaction from any Muslim nation. He noted that after the failure of U.S. aggression, the Israeli entity remains in a weakened state and is now attempting to restore deterrence through repeated attacks on civilian infrastructure in Yemen. Sayyed al-Houthi stressed that no matter the scale or repetition of Israeli attacks, it will not change Yemen's religious and principled stance in supporting the dear people of Palestine. He remarked, 'One of the objectives of the Israeli strike on Sana'a Airport may be to hinder the transport of pilgrims, but, God willing, they will fail.' He added that the rebuilding of Sana'a Airport will continue at the level necessary to keep it operational. 'We are striving for a stronger position alongside the Palestinian people, who are enduring an unprecedented level of suffering,' he stated, noting that the ongoing atrocities by the Israeli enemy place a greater responsibility on the Islamic Ummah. He emphasized that the continued genocide of Palestinians compels the Yemeni people to escalate their military operations against the Israeli enemy, based on faith, ethics, and humanity. The suffering of the Palestinian people, he said, is now greater than ever before, both in terms of the impact of the severe siege and starvation and the accumulation of Israeli war crimes. He concluded by reaffirming that the escalation in Gaza motivates further efforts to intensify operations by the Yemeni armed forces and all related activities. Sayyed al-Houthi also extended heartfelt congratulations to the Islamic Ummah and the honorable Yemeni people on the arrival of the blessed month of Dhul-Hijjah. Hamas: Zionist aggression on Sana'a Airport desperate attempt to dissuade Yemen from backing Gaza
Gaza - Saba: The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) confirmed that this barbaric Zionist aggression on Sana'a Airport, carried out today, Wednesday, comes within the context of desperate attempts by the government of war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, wanted by the International Criminal Court, to dissuade Yemen from its support for the Palestinian people in Gaza. The movement said in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that "the Zionist aggression on Sana'a Airport is a desperate attempt by the criminal Netanyahu to dissuade brotherly Yemen and the brothers in the Ansar Allah movement from their genuine positions in supporting and backing our people in Gaza, who are being subjected to an ongoing genocide, which requires urgent Arab and international action to stop this Zionist aggression and put an end to its ongoing crimes against our people and the peoples of our nation." "The repeated Zionist aggression on Sana'a Airport represents an extension of the criminal enemy's policy of targeting our sister Arab countries through blatant attacks on civilian facilities, in a flagrant violation of state sovereignty and a clear expression of Zionist arrogance in the region, without the slightest respect for international law or humanitarian norms," the Movement added. Deputy Transport Minister: Efforts underway to restore readiness of Sana'a Airport Soon
Sana'a - Saba: Yahya Al-Siyani, Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works and Chairman of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, confirmed that Sana'a International Airport will be operational again as soon as possible to facilitate the return of stranded citizens abroad, particularly from Jordan, despite the severe damage caused by Israeli aggression. During a press conference held on Wednesday at Sana'a Airport, attended by officials from the Ministries of Transport, Public Works, Justice , Human Rights, and Health and Environment, Al-Siyani explained that emergency teams immediately began firefighting and technical assessments following the airstrikes. A technical committee has also started preparations to rehabilitate the airport to resume humanitarian flights at the earliest opportunity. He noted that work is underway to restore the airport's operational, technical, and professional readiness to facilitate the return of stranded Yemenis and patients abroad. The airstrikes destroyed passenger terminals, airport facilities, runways, technical and operational systems. The Deputy Minister added that the attack directly targeted several civilian aircraft, including two Airbus A320s and an A330 used for passenger transport, as well as other grounded aircraft due to the blockade, including a cargo plane and a Boeing 727. Meanwhile, Khalil Jahaf, Acting Chairman of Yemenia Airways' Board of Directors, stated that the airstrikes represented a direct attack on civilian aviation infrastructure. Preliminary estimates indicate damages exceeding half a billion dollars due to the destruction of aircraft, hangars, maintenance workshops, and ground service facilities. He affirmed that Yemenia Airways would soon resume navigation and humanitarian services, with technical teams currently working to restore the airport's readiness. For his part, Ali Taysir, head of the Human Rights Sector at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, stated that the U.S.-Israeli-British aggression failed to achieve any military objectives justifying the direct targeting of civilian infrastructure. He noted that the airstrikes on Sana'a Airport, Hodeidah and Ras Issa ports, Hazziz and Dhubhan power stations, and Amran and Bajil cement factories resulted in seven civilian deaths, 93 injuries, and around 20 others still missing under the rubble. He condemned these attacks as blatant violations of international humanitarian law, the Chicago Convention on Civil Aviation, and the Geneva Conventions, urging a firm international stance against targeting vital civilian facilities. Anis Al-Asbahi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Environment, described the attacks on the airport and civilian infrastructure as "full-fledged war crimes." He stressed that targeting service facilities, particularly air and sea ports, exacerbates the health crisis and worsens the suffering of patients and wounded, especially those relying on Sana'a Airport as their sole exit for medical treatment abroad via Jordan. Hospitals received 94 injured individuals in the past 24 hours, a non-final toll, with the aggression's sponsors held fully responsible for these crimes and their humanitarian consequences. At the end of the press conference, the Ministries of Justice and Human Rights, Transport and Public Works, and Health and Environment issued a joint statement strongly condemning the "Zionist-American" aggression on Yemen's vital infrastructure, including Sana'a International Airport, power stations, cement factories, and Red Sea ports. The statement emphasized that the attacks destroyed the airport's buildings, terminals, main runway, control tower, electrical systems, radars, and navigation equipment, halting civilian and humanitarian flights—especially to Jordan—and disrupting travel for patients, students, and expatriates. Previous statistics indicate over 120,000 patients have died due to travel restrictions for medical treatment abroad. The statement also condemned the targeting of Hodeidah Port, Ras Issa Oil Terminal, central power stations in the capital, and Amran and Bajil cement factories, which killed seven civilians and injured 93 (non-final toll). These attacks violate international humanitarian law, particularly Article 54 of the Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions and Article 8 bis of the Rome Statute of the ICC, which criminalizes targeting civilian survival infrastructure. The ministries held the U.S. administration and the Zionist entity fully responsible for these crimes, calling on global advocates to act against the aggression on the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples. They also urged the UN, Security Council, Human Rights Council to fulfill their moral and legal obligations regarding these grave violations against civilians. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Yemen: Israel Launches Fiercest Raids on Several Targets in the Capital, Sana
Israel launched a series of airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, hitting around ten sites, according to Hebrew media reports. According to media outlets affiliated with the Houthi group, the strikes targeted the central Dhahban power station in Bani Al-Harith in Sana'a, the passenger terminal, civilian aircraft, and service facilities at Sana'a International Airport. The runways and control tower were also hit, along with the Attan area southwest of the capital, the central Haziiz power station in the Sanhan district, a power station in the Asr area, the Amran cement factory, and several fuel storage sites in different areas. Activists documented thick smoke rising from multiple locations across the capital. Footage also showed damage to aircraft at Sana'a International Airport, and smoke continued to billow for an extended period. Israeli media reported that the airstrikes rendered Sana'a Airport inoperable, with warnings that further attacks could follow. This marks the second time Israel has carried out air raids on Sana'a. The strikes came less than 24 hours after similar attacks on the coastal Hodeida governorate in western Yemen, which resulted in the destruction of a vital factory. The Israeli response escalated after the Houthi group launched an attack on Ben Gurion Airport, in what was described as the largest offensive the airport has faced in recent times. Authorities in Sana'a reported no human casualties from the latest round of strikes. These locations had previously been targeted by airstrikes from the Saudi-led coalition, followed by American, British, and now Israeli forces.
