Robbinsdale police seeking witnesses as probe into double shooting at park continues

Robbinsdale Police Department has issued a public appeal to find witnesses or surveillance footage that can shed light on those responsible for a double shooting at a city park last weekend. The department issued a press release on Friday saying it's seeking help in finding videos or tips regarding the shooting at Sanborn Park, on the 4200 block of Drew Avenue North, last Sunday, May 4. "They are asking everyone with an exterior camera to please review your footage between 8:30 pm and 9:45 pm on May 4th, 2025," spokesman John Elder said. "If you have seen something, please let them know. Information that may seem insignificant to you could be of paramount importance to them." Officers arrived to a "very chaotic scene" at the park, with police finding a 19-year-old woman had been shot in the head. Lifesaving efforts began, with the woman taken to North Memorial Hospital with "grave injuries." There is no update on her condition as of Saturday, May 10. A man in his 20s later arrived at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park shortly after 10 p.m. with gunshot wounds he sustained in Robbinsdale. His injuries were considered serious. Information can be shared by email at robbinsdalepolice@ If a video file is too large, police will send someone to collect it. Tips can be submitted via CrimeStoppers of Minnesota at 1-800-222-TIPS (1-800-222-8477).
