Kada village chief to lead drive that once welcomed her

Gandhinagar: Nineteen years ago, Khushali Rabari was enrolled in school during the annual Shala Praveshotsav (school enrolment drive) at her village, Kada, in Mehsana district.
On Friday, as the newly elected sarpanch of the village, she will lead the enrolment drive in her village.
"I am currently in my final year of nursing. There are many opportunities to work abroad after nursing, but I developed an interest in politics. With the blessings of the villagers, I now have this opportunity to serve them, and I will work to further develop our village," an official statement said, quoting Rabari, the newly elected sarpanch of Kada village.

Khushali is currently in her final year at Sankalchand Patel University in Visnagar. She said she was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
She won the sarpanch election of Kada village by 1,320 votes. She is eager to enhance basic amenities and undertake other development projects to serve the villagers.
