Sarah Reed hosts annual Women in Leadership breakfast
Sarah A. Reed Children's Center hosted its 2025 Women in Leadership breakfast Friday morning to celebrate Women's History Month. 90 Employees, board members and the young women empowerment group gathered for the event held at the Bayfront Sheraton. Excitement brews among Otters fans as post season begins It was a chance to learn about the agency's founders, present achievement awards, and gain inspiration. The event is in its fifth year and celebrates the collective strength and influence of women who dedicate their lives to education, mentorship and leadership. Erie women in PR unite to share experiences to celebrate Women's History Month 'Our foundress was an amazing woman in her time and she and some other remarkable women started this organization and so we want to honor that tenacity and that trailblazing spirit of the employees and emerging leaders within our organization,' said Dr. Adrienne Dixon, president & CEO of Sarah A. Sarah Reed Children's Center awarded new van through Ford Friendship Express Program
The keys to a new 2024 Ford Transit Van were gifted to Sarah A. Reed Children's Center to kick off the Erie Auto Show. Every year, Erie Ford dealers put money together to donate a vehicle to a local non-profit. Cruise on down to the Bayfront for day one of the 2025 Erie Auto Show This is a part of their Ford Friendship Express Program that began in the area a little over a decade ago. Dr. Adrienne Dixon, president & CEO of the center, said this van will help them have a greater impact on the families they serve in the erie community. Erie VA breaks ground on $18.5 million expansion project 'Being able to connect with them in their communities and being able to provide service to them regarding access or even transportation. We are already planning about how this van will have great use, and I'm sure our programs are all going to be vying for the opportunity to utilize it,' said Dixon.
