CT students compete in the Odyssey of the Mind State Tournament in Bethel

BETHEL, Conn. (WTNH) — On Saturday, students from across the state gathered at the Annual Connecticut Odyssey of the Mind State Tournament to put their problem solving skills to the test. Held at Bethel Middle School, the purpose of the tournament is to eliminate the fear that comes with problem-solving by equipping students with the skills and self-confidence needed to find accurate solutions with the use of creativity. In groups, students worked together to solve unique open-ended questions, while also learning about budgeting, time management, public speaking and many more tasks meant to drive students to their full potential. The tournament was followed by lunch, a balloon show, and the awards and closing ceremonies hosted by our very own Sarah Cody. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
