Sarah Emami, the face of Iranian media and resistance who resumed her bulletin minutes after Israeli missile strike
The Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN) broadcast, which was interrupted after an Israeli bomb strike Monday (June 16, 2025), on the studio during a live broadcast, was restored in 'less than five minutes'.

was targeted at 'the women, men, and children who have been martyred in recent days'. Dust and debris filled the Iranian state television studio, and Sarah Emami rushed off camera when the Israeli strike took place. The attack took place about an hour after Israel issued a warning for the area of Tehran where the station is located.
Emami was seen hurrying away after the hit which led to fire and parts of the office building collapsing. People on the set were heard saying 'Allahu Akbar', the Arabic phrase for 'God is great'. The broadcast quickly switched to pre-recorded programs. Soon, Emami came back live from another studio and was seen speaking with another anchor.

Images showed smoke and flames in the sky. The station later said that the building was hit by four bombs. Israel Defense Forces immediately took credit for the attack claiming the building was used for military purposes.
Who is Sahar Emami?
Born in 1985 in Tehran, Sahar Emami holds a degree in agricultural engineering with a specialization in food science. She started her career in 2008 on Tehran's local channel and later joined the political team at IRINN in 2010.

Trump calls for Iran's unconditional surrender
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said Tuesday, June 17, 2025, that Washington knows where Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is hiding during the Israel-Iran conflict but doesn't want him killed 'for now.' Trump urged, in a social media posting, Iran's 'UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER' as the five-day conflict continues to escalate.
'We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding,' Trump added. 'He is an easy target but is safe there - we are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don't want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.'
