Four arrested in Holyoke after over 100 crack-cocaine vials, heroin seized

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Four suspects were arrested in Holyoke after loaded firearms, heroin, and crack cocaine were seized on Sunday. The newly appointed Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan is working to improve the quality of life for residents in the Elm Street area. In an effort to help, officers were sent to an apartment building at 173 Elm Street on Sunday at around 9:15 p.m. for those who were trespassing. As the officers reached the second floor, four suspects attempted to run away. Five arrested in Holyoke during multi-agency drug investigation One of the officers located a woman, 43-year-old Sarah McLaughlin of Greenfield, hiding inside of an apartment. McLaughlin had an outstanding warrant and was placed under arrest. The other suspects were running down the stairs, and 36-year-old Emmanuel Rivera of West Springfield was seen tossing an object. That object was determined to be a loaded firearm. As Rivera was being detained, officers recovered 27 vials of crack-cocaine and the firearm he allegedly tossed. He was also placed under arrest. Officers detained 32-year-old Nelson Ramos of Springfield and arrested him for trespassing and resisting. Officers also detained 38-year-old Eugenio Rivera-Narvaez of Springfield and seized a large capacity firearm loaded with 16 rounds of ammunition, 91 vials of crack-cocaine, more than eight grams of heroin/fentanyl as well as Clonazepam and Gabapentin from him. He was placed under arrest.
