Dipankar: ₹2.5k for women if INDIA bloc voted to power

on Thursday pledged that if the INDIA bloc comes to power in Bihar, the minimum social security pension would be increased to Rs 1,500 per month. In addition, women would receive Rs 2,500 under a proposed Mahila Samman scheme.
Speaking at the culmination of the party's nine-day Sarkar Badlo, Bihar Bachao campaign, during a rally held at the GPO roundabout in Patna, Bhattacharya criticised the Nitish Kumar-led govt for being slow to act on welfare. "It took 20 years for the state government to increase the minimum pension from Rs 400 to Rs 1,100 per month," he said, describing the move as overdue and insufficient.
He also criticised the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) in the state, alleging that it was leading to the closure of government schools. "This policy is unconstitutional and is pushing children out of public education," he said.
Commenting on the political climate under PM Narendra Modi, Bhattacharya claimed the country was under an "undeclared Emergency." He added, "The people of India will put an end to this as well."
