Tour company that took Tammy Hembrow to Egypt apologises for hosting camel rides after influencer was slammed by animal activist - as she remains silent

A tour company that organised Tammy Hembrow's itinerary during her recent lavish trip to Egypt has issued an apology for planning a controversial camel ride. The fitness guru, 31, was slammed on Monday for attempting to hide the fact she rode a camel while visiting the country. However, content from other travellers showed Tammy quietly participating in the ride. Tour company Aweventurer have confirmed they have now removed camel rides from their itineraries. 'We want to acknowledge concerns about the camel riding during our Egypt trip,' the company wrote in the comments of one of its recent Instagram posts. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'While this activity was removed from the official itinerary, it still occurred.' 'We're actively reviewing what happened and putting into place a system to ensure this does not happen on future trips,' the spokesperson continued. 'Thank you for your feedback and accountability—we learn from this and push forward.' Tammy was hit with a wave of backlash this week when it was discovered she had participated in the camel ride and hid the photos from her own social media. She was seen riding on the back of a camel in content posted by other travellers on the tour. Animal activists were up in arms over the move and called for accountability from the Saski activewear founder. Animal rights campaigner @warriorforanimals commented on several posts by the Aussie star and was vocal about camels in Egypt's tourism industry. 'I am an animal rights campaigner and am deeply disappointed @tammyhembrow rode camels,' he wrote in a post shared to Instagram. 'I am glad the post has been removed but more needs to be done against exploitation in tourism.' He went on to leave a comment on one of Tammy's Egypt posts, writing: 'I'm politely asking if you can do your bit to end the exploitation of animals in tourism. 'I've been supporting you for a long time even praising you for advocating for eating more plant based foods in 2020 to help the environment and of [course] animal welfare.' Fans also flooded the comments section of the fit-fluencer's posts with criticism over the act. 'How about don't ride a camel?!! Can't believe it's even on the program,' one person angrily wrote. 'Do you have any idea how they are being treated from all the moronic tourists exploiting them for no f***ing reason.' Another chimed in with a similar sentiment, adding: 'Please leave animals and carriage rides out of your plans. 'Would never visit a country with such lack for empathy or regulations on animal welfare.' The negative commentary on camel rides previously resulted in the travel company removing the activity entirely from their tour several months ago. 'Update: we have taken on feedback and removed the camel riding from the itinerary,' the tour company wrote on their page.

Influencer slammed for ‘cruel' activity while in Egypt

Tammy Hembrow's holiday to Egypt has been slammed on social media after she took photos in revealing outfits at tourist attractions in the conservative country and allegedly rode an abused camel. The 31-year-old influencer experienced the trip hosted by Aweventurer last week and was spotted riding on the back of a camel in several photos and videos posted by other travelling content creators on the tour. However, she hid the snaps from her own page, posting only a photo of two camels from the ride with a pyramid in the background. The series of photos have angered animal activists who have called for the Saski activewear founder to speak out about the backlash. Bailey Mason, who runs Instagram account Warrior For Animals, commented on the photos, highlighting the abuse inflicted on the camels in Egypt's tourism industry. 'I am an animal rights campaigner and am deeply disappointed @tammyhembrow rode abused camels,' Mr Mason wrote in a post shared to his Instagram. 'I am glad the post has been removed but more needs to be done against exploitation in tourism.' Hembrow was spotted riding on the back of a camel in several photos and videos posted by other travelling content creators. 'I've been supporting you for a long time even praising you for advocating for eating more plant based foods in 2020 to help the environment and of (course) animal welfare.' Hembrow's followers also took to the comments section of the mother-of-three's posts, sharing messages of disappointment. 'How about don't torture animals and don't ride a camel?!! Can't believe it's even on the program,' one follower said. Another person said: Do you have any idea how they are being treated and how exhausted they are from all the moronic tourists exploiting them for no f***ing reason.' 'Please leave animals and carriage rides out of your plans. Very cruel would never visit a country with such lack for empathy or regulations on animal welfare,' a third added. The negative commentary resulted in the travel company removing the camel rides from the tour itinerary. If you'd like to view this content, please adjust your . According to an article by PETA Australia updated in April, camels continue to suffer from injury and skin disease because they're denied sufficient veterinary treatment. In 2019, PETA Asia investigations at the Great Pyramid of Giza and Luxor's royal tombs documented abuse of horses and camels who pull tourists in carriages or serve as photo props in severe conditions without appropriate shade or food. It seems Hembrow's trip has been marred with controversy after people also took aim at her revealing outfit choices while checking out tourist hot spots. Many of her posts from the getaway show the social media sensation exposing her tattooed arms and midriff while wearing a headscarf. 'Pretty sure this is cultural appropriation cause you're not wearing that scarf to cover your body,' one person said. Another added: 'A holiday to Egypt, while half naked, is possibly one the most time [sic] deaf things I've ever seen.' 'Your choice of clothing is actually quite offensive to the locals Your travel advisor should have told you about local etiquette,' a third added. While there is no legal dress code in Egypt, it is considered respectful for tourists to follow the cultural norm of modest attire.

Tammy Hembrow accused of copying a very famous activewear brand from another well-known Gold Coast influencer

Tammy Hembrow has been accused of copying a rival activewear brand owned by a fellow Gold Coast influencer. The 30-year-old was on Instagram this week, modelling the latest range from her 'luxury athleisure brand' Saski. However, some fans claimed that she had copied designs from Australian fitness label Crop Shop Boutique (CSB), founded and owned by influencer Rachel Dillon. Tammy has denied these claims. A series of videos, Shared to Tammy's Instagram story, showed the fitness influencer modelling an array of clothing from the new range. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. One clip showed Tammy, who founded Saski in 2017, flaunting her trim form in a pair of figure-hugging baby pink V-waist shorts as well as a matching pink sports bra with a plunging V neckline. But some eagle-eyed fashionistas took to social media this week to accuse Tammy of copying a very similar style previously released by Rachel's label. One took to Instagram to share a side-by-side shot of Tammy's outfit, next to a very similar look modelled on the CSB website. 'CSB 2023, Saski 2025,' they wrote over the juxtaposed images. Another echoed the sentiment commenting: 'This is just a @csb rip off.' Tammy was quick to hit back at the accusations, claiming that the samples for the clothes had been in her possession for more than a year. 'We've had all these samples for over a year haha sorry to say,' she responded in a since-deleted comment. However, the persistent follower appeared to come with receipts, sharing screenshots of models wearing very similar V-waist shorts as far back as June 2022. Another echoed the sentiment commenting: 'This is just a @csb rip off.' Tammy took issue with the accusation, replying to the follower with: ' We've had all these samples for over a year haha sorry to say.' 'And @csb have had them out longer than a year Tammy!' the garment sleuth replied. The same user then claimed that Tammy had deleted the original 'rip off' comment and her response. Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting that Tammy Hembrow copied the design from CSB and has contacted Tammy Hembrow for comment. Aside from Saski, the entrepreneur is also the founder of fitness platform TammyFit. Tammy also recently launched a new sports nutrition brand, Selfish, with sisters Aimee and Emily. The accusations come after Tammy's ex Matt Poole welcomed his first child with girlfriend Annelyse Oatway. Following the news, Tammy took to Instagram to hint that she and husband Matt Zukowski could also be looking to add to her brood. The influencer shared a clip from a film to Instagram and wrote: 'Me [and] baby fever. Guys should I have another one lol'. Aside from Saski, the entrepreneur is also the founder of fitness platform TammyFit. Tammy also recently launched a new sports nutrition brand, Selfish, with sisters Aimee and Emily She then shared a photo of her son Wolf embracing their pet cat and said: 'Kidding but not kidding'. Tammy's former Love Island star husband previously opened up about his infertility. Matt revealed on the Back to Reality podcast in 2023 that he 'wasn't embarrassed' by the reproductive issue, but that it affects his approach to dating. 'If I was to start seeing a one of the first things I tell them. My ex before I told her on, like, the second date, I said, "Hey, like, just so you know, I can't have kids".' 'I'm not embarrassed by it. I'm not ashamed of obviously gonna be public knowledge now that, like, you know, I'm shooting blanks, all that sort of stuff,' he added. The hosts then asked Matti how he found out about the fertility issue, and he claimed that an ex spurred him to get checked because they 'weren't getting pregnant'. Tammy shares one child, Posey, two, with ex-fiancé Matt Poole and two Wolf, 10, and Saskia, eight, with ex Reece Hawkins.

Fitness influencer Tammy Hembrow shares sweet picture as she meets her ex-fiancé Matt Poole's newborn baby

Tammy Hembrow has shared a sweet snap with her ex-fiancé Matt Poole's newborn baby. Matt, who dated the fitness influencer for almost four years and shares a daughter Posy, with her, welcomed a baby boy with his new girlfriend, Annelyse Oatway, on May 17. Tammy, 31, took to Instagram on Thursday to share the moment she met her ex's new bundle of joy Parker. In one snap, Tammy's two-year-old daughter Posy could be seen carefully holding the newborn baby. 'Best big sissy,' she captioned the post. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She then tagged the new parents on the Instagram story, adding: 'He is so perfect'. Posy wore her brown locks up in a scrunchie as she cuddled her baby brother, who wore a baby suit adorned with bears and trees. In another picture, Tammy held little Parker in her arms and wrote: 'Could sit here all day tbh.' She then wrote 'oxytocin' next to a graph with an increasing line, hinting at her happiness meeting the newborn baby. Tammy donned a pink workout ensemble along with a white wraparound long-sleeve, both from her Saski athleisure brand. Poole shared his joyful baby news on Saturday by posting a heartwarming photo to social media of himself cradling the newborn in his arms. This is the first child for Poole and Annalyse. The couple's romance first sparked in early 2023, following his split from Tammy in December 2022. Their relationship blossomed and after two years of dating they have now grown their family. Annelyse, who keeps a relatively low profile online despite her 10,000 Instagram followers, is originally from the Gold Coast, Queensland. Not much is publicly known about her, as she opts for a more private life compared to the high-profile nature of Matt's past relationships. Meanwhile, Tammy married her new partner Matt Zukowski in November last year. The couple's nuptials were widely celebrated, with Tammy frequently sharing glimpses of their life together on her social media platforms. Poole's relationship history has been a topic of interest for many of Tammy's followers. After his split with Tammy, he was briefly linked to Bella Cicero before committing to Annelyse. It comes after Tammy's new husband Zukowski recently shut down rumours he has split from her by sharing footage of them together on a recent date night. The Love Island Australia star, 29, appeared in a social media clip alongside Tammy in which he told fans they had just finished watching a movie at the cinema. 'We just watched a new horror, Until Dawn. 'It was pretty gory, there were a lot of jump scares and we were screaming heaps,' Zukowski told fans. He had previously fuelled speculation that his whirlwind romance with Tammy may be over, after posting footage of himself going to the movies solo. The reality TV star took to Instagram to share a video revealing he was watching Death Of A Unicorn alone - a move that came just days after fans noticed he was absent from Tammy's lavish 31st birthday celebrations.

Temperatures will dip to "below average" as celebrations kick off on bank holiday Monday, but rise again throughout the week. On the bank holiday itself, the Met Office forecasts temperatures will reach a maximum of 15C or 16C on the south coast of England on Monday, May 5. But northern parts of the UK will "struggle to get into the double figures". 6 Brits will wake up to much cooler temperatures on bank holiday Monday, with frost in rural areas Credit: YouTube @Met Office UK 6 The UK enjoyed a mini heatwave over the last few days, seeing Brits flock to beaches Credit: Alamy 6 People soaked up sun rays and temperatures up to 29 degrees - but it's all change Credit: Alamy Thousands of people are expected to line the streets for the spectacle which includes a Churchill speech performance by actor Timothy Spall, a flypast including the Red Arrows, and a military procession of 1,300 members of the armed forces. The Met Office predicted the morning would start "bright for many", with showers across Lincolnshire and down into south-east England. But in the afternoon most areas will be "dry with sunny spells", with more sun around for eastern and northern parts of the country compared to Sunday.
