KSrelief sends vaccine to Syrian pilgrims for Hajj

RIYADH: The Saudi aid agency KSrelief has provided 25,000 doses of the meningitis vaccine to Syrian pilgrims at the request of the Syrian Ministry of Health. The vaccines are being administered in preparation for the pilgrims' upcoming Hajj journey to the holy sites of Makkah and Madinah, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The ministry of the Syrian Arab Republic expressed its appreciation for the prompt response, describing the support as characteristic of Saudi Arabia and its leadership. Through KSrelief, the Kingdom has consistently provided vital aid to the Syrian people while addressing their most urgent needs, the SPA added. This support highlights Saudi Arabia's continued commitment to assisting nations and communities worldwide with critical medical supplies. KSrelief recently concluded seven medical projects in Damascus as part of the Saudi Amal Volunteer Program. The week-long initiatives included cardiac surgery and catheterization, orthopedics and joint surgery, prosthetics and rehabilitation, pediatric surgery, pediatric urology, and treatment for blindness and related conditions.

Saudi Gazette report GENEVA — Saudi Health Minister Fahd Al-Jalajel held a bilateral meeting with his Syrian counterpart Musab Al-Ali at the United Nations office in Geneva. During the meeting, they discussed various challenges facing the health system in Syria and opportunities for bilateral cooperation to address these challenges. Al-Jalajel and Al-Ali arrived in Geneva to attend the 78th session of the World Health Assembly. Meanwhile, a delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), accompanied by officials from the Syrian Ministry of Health, visited several hospitals in Syria to assess the hospitals' needs. A volunteer medical team from the KSrelief, comprising various medical specialties, visited Damascus to implement a voluntary medical project for open-heart surgery and cardiac catheterization for adults. This visit is part of the Saudi Amal Volunteer Program, an extension of the voluntary medical projects implemented by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm KSRelief to assist low-income individuals and families in countries in need. This is within the framework of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian role in assisting friendly countries facing ordeals and crises, as an extension of the Kingdom's unwavering support to charitable and humanitarian work around the world.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully completed three medical volunteer programs in Damascus, the capital of the Syrian Arab Republic. These initiatives were part of the Saudi Amal Volunteer Program, dedicated to supporting the Syrian people. The programs, led by volunteers from various medical specialties, included cochlear implants, auditory rehabilitation, pediatric oncology treatment, and orthopedic surgery. Over the course of the campaign, KSrelief's medical team screened 315 individuals and performed 135 surgeries, including nine pediatric oncology procedures, 31 cochlear implants, 42 pediatric orthopedic surgeries, and 53 orthopedic and joint replacement operations. Additionally, the parents of 62 children received training in hearing and speech rehabilitation. Moreover, the Saudi Amal Volunteer Program is designed to carry out 104 medical and surgical campaigns. It offers training and educational programs, and promote economic empowerment for those in need across multiple Syrian cities. More than 3,000 volunteers are involved in the initiative, which is part of KSrelief's broader efforts to enhance Syria's healthcare sector. Syrian prime minister lauds Saudi Arabia's humanitarian program

RIYADH: Syrian Arab Republic Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Bashir met a volunteer team from Saudi aid agency KSrelief led by Volunteer Programs Director Dr. Ali bin Saad Al-Qarni. During the meeting in Damascus, they discussed developments in the Saudi Amal Volunteer Program, which supports Syrians through 104 campaigns in medical and surgical specialties, training and education, and economic empowerment, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The Syrian prime minister expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia, led by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for KSrelief's generous humanitarian aid. Al-Bashir also praised the Saudi Amal Volunteer Program's effective role in assisting the Syrian people, the SPA reported. The KSrelief team, in turn, thanked the Syrian government for facilitating the program's work, highlighting the Kingdom's commitment to supporting Syrians through a range of humanitarian and relief initiatives. Meanwhile, a convoy of 60 aid trucks, part of the Saudi humanitarian operation by KSrelief, passed through the Jouf region on Tuesday en route to Syria through the Al-Haditha border crossing, the SPA reported. Loaded with food, relief supplies and shelter materials, the convoy was warmly received by locals in Jouf, who provided support under the guidance of Jouf Gov. Prince Faisal bin Nawaf. The KSrelief team expressed gratitude to the governor and the people of Jouf for their hospitality, the SPA said. The humanitarian operation reflects Saudi Arabia's efforts to assist people in times of crisis.
