Global Champions Arabians Tour Concludes Riyadh Leg in Spectacular Style
The Riyadh Tour, marking the fourth leg of this year's second edition of the Global Champions Arabians Tour, wrapped up on Saturday evening at the Jump Saudi arena. With a prize pool surpassing €24 million, the event drew 212 horses from some of the world's most prestigious studs. Hosted by the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation, the event underscored the Kingdom's commitment to elevating the global standards of Arabian horse shows. It also served as a platform for cultural exchange, enhanced competition, and equestrian investment—key pillars supporting the Ministry of Sport's broader objectives under Saudi Vision 2030. The 2025 season of the Tour kicked off in Ajman, UAE in January, followed by thrilling stops in Doha, Qatar and Muscat, Oman. With a total of nine rounds this year, the competition now heads to Cannes, France, followed by Valkenswaard (Netherlands), London (UK), and Rome (Italy), before culminating in a grand finale in Doha this December. Saudi Equestrian Wins Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup in AlUla
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation and Head of the Sports Sector at the Royal Commission for AlUla, Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah, awarded Saudi equestrian Muhannad Al-Salmi the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup following an outstanding performance in Level 2 of the prestigious global competition. The endurance race covered a distance of 120 kilometers and featured 200 top riders from around the world. Held at AlFursan Equestrian Village in AlUla, the event took place amid a fiercely competitive atmosphere. Recognized as one of the premier endurance races globally, the competition boasted a total prize pool of SAR15 million, the largest of its kind in this category. Al-Salmi secured first place with an average speed of 23.6 km/h, completing the race in 13 hours, 9 minutes, and 15 seconds. He surpassed Emirati rider Abdullah Al-Amri, who finished second with a time of 13 hours, 8 minutes, and 43 seconds, while Emirati rider Saif Al Mazrouei claimed third place with a time of 13 hours, 9 minutes, and 29 seconds. The championship continues Sunday, with a Level 3, 160-kilometer endurance race. The race will feature 100 riders competing for a SAR5 million prize pool.

Royal Endurance Team Secures Top Positions In 120km Fursan Cup
Bahrain Royal Endurance Team rider Raed Mahmood secured fourth place in the 120km Fursan Cup 2025, organised by the Royal Commission for AlUla in Saudi Arabia in partnership with the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation. The race, contested over four stages, saw fierce competition among 200 riders. The Royal Team led the first two stages, with Mahmood leading in the third. The Royal Endurance Team will compete in the 160km race on Sunday, represented by Salman Isa, Fahad Al Khatri, Mohammed Abdulsamad, Maayouf Al Rumaihi, and Abdullah Janahi. Saudi Arabia's Muhannad Al Salmi won the 120km race, while the UAE's Abdullah Ali Al Amri and Saif Ahmed Al Mazrouei took second and third place. Source Bahrain News Agency

Another Emirati rider, Saif Al Mazrouei, claimed third place with a time of 13 hours, 9 minutes, and 29 seconds. The winners received their prizes from Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation and head of the Sports Sector at the Royal Commission for AlUla, during the award ceremonies. Last month, the picturesque ancient city located in Saudi Arabia's western region of Madinah hosted the AlUla Trail Race, with some 1,450 athletes from around the world competing.

This Equestrian Endurance Event in AlUla Offers a SAR 15 Million Prize
Over 300 riders from around the world will be participating in AlFursan Endurance AlUla 2025. AlFursan Endurance AlUla is taking place from February 8th to the 9th, featuring two races that will test a racer's skill and endurance to the limit. The first event will be the 120km Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on February 8th, which will offer the world's current highest prize money with a prize pool of SAR 15 million. The next day, the El Mutadil Endurance Cup will feature a prize pool of SAR 5 million. Over 300 riders from over 66 countries will be participating in AlFursan Endurance AlUla. The event will be held under the supervision of the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) in partnership with the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation (SAEF). AlFursan Endurance AlUla will be held in anticipation of the Endurance World Championship of 2025 in France. Aside from long distance gallops, Al Fursan will also hold community engagement events, kids entertainment activities, music performances and retail shopping destinations.
