Kristin Chenoweth raises eyebrows declaring her dog 'came out of' her vagina

slammed non-pet parents who claim her dog Thunder 'Pup' Chenoweth isn't her 'baby.' 'When people say, "Oh, it's just your dog," I want to go, "She came out of my vagina. What are you talking about?"' the Wicked star - turning 57 next month - told People on Wednesday. 'I love my dog. Okay?' Kristin - who was adopted when she was five days old - originally adopted the eight-year-old cockapoo mix in January 2017 from Saving Spot Rescue. 'The best day of my life was finding her and rescuing her,' Chenoweth gushed on Instagram October 6. 'The love of my little life!' The self-described 'crazy dog person' waited less than a year to adopt little Thunder following the death of her prior dog, Madeline Kahn Chenoweth. 'When she went to heaven, I was devastated. I literally said, "God, why would you give us these precious angels to take care of and then take them from us after such a brief time?"' Kristin (born Kristi) recalled to the mag. 'And what I keep hearing, the handprint that I keep on my soul, is that they're here to teach you patience and unconditional love.' Chenoweth considers it a 'very big privilege' to live side by side with her precious fur-baby. 'Why get a dog unless you want unconditional love?' the Emmy winner wondered. 'I think I have several feelings, and some of them are a little spiritual in nature when I talk about it, but dog is God spelled backwards.' Kristin memorably dressed her female canine companion in a pink faux fur Christian Cowan ensemble for the red carpet of the Astra TV Awards in LA last year. 'I swear, Thunder can look me in the eyes, she's got human eyes, and she'll be like, "Mommy, it's okay,"' Chenoweth said. 'I don't know what it is. She's seen me in my worst and my best, and I'm so glad she can't talk because then I'd be in real trouble.' The other love of the triple-threat Tony winner's life is her husband of 21 months - guitarist Josh Bryant - whom she met in 2016 when she hired his band Backroad Anthem to perform at her niece's wedding reception. Last week, Deadline reported that Kristin was cast as junior college cheerleading coach Tammy Istiny in Jeff Astrof and Liz Astrof's single-camera mockumentary comedy pilot Stumble for NBC. Stephen Schwartz composed the music and Lindsey Ferrentino penned the book for the stage adaptation of Lauren Greenfield's 2012 documentary about socialite Jackie Siegel's quest to live in a $100M mega-mansion. Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham will portray Jackie's late billionaire husband, 'Timeshare King' David Siegel. It's been a full decade since the Oklahoma-born blonde starred in a Broadway musical, having portrayed two roles in On the Twentieth Century. Kristin is also every bit the influencer with paid partnerships for brands like Nom Nom, Olipop, Swarvoski, and Laura Geller Beauty.
