Two men arrested in Kinston for drug and firearm possession
KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Officials with the Kinston Police Department arrested two individuals for possession of drugs and firearms after a traffic stop.
On Saturday, May 17, 2025, at around 5:20 p.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department's D-Squad conducted a traffic stop on Cunningham Road for motor vehicle violations. Officers noticed narcotic activity inside the vehicle during the stop.
An investigation led to the discovery of over 100 grams of marijuana, U.S. currency, illegally concealed firearms, and drug paraphernalia.
Officers arrested Ryan Towler, 25, of Havelock, and Savion Towler, 20, of Kinston. Both individuals were charged with:
• Felony Possession of Schedule VI (Marijuana).
• Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana (PWISD).
• Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia.
Towler was also charged with multiple motor vehicle violations.
