CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Two restaurants in Champaign County received red placards and one received a yellow placard after health inspections in the past seven days.
LAST WEEK: Red, yellow placards given to Champaign restaurants after health inspections
Savoy Place, located at 404 W Curtis Rd. in Savoy received a yellow placard following a heath inspection on April 14.
During the restaurants last health inspection, the inspector issued a Violation Correction Form for a malfunctioning cooler and the installation of a water mixer. Savoy Place did not fulfill the requirements by the due date, however, so a yellow placard was posted.
Now, if the correction form's requirements are not completed by April 25, the health permit will be suspended, and the restaurant will receive a red placard.

Chicago Grill (Mobile) at the Harris Avenue Commissary is located at 1205 N. Harris Ave. in Champaign. On April 14, the business received a red placard following a health inspection.
The inspector found three risk factor/intervention violations. At the end of the inspection, the inspector noted 'heavy wastewater leakage' coming from the drainpipes under the mobile. The business was given a violation correction form and asked to return proof that the drainpipes had been repaired by April 28. Because of this, the health permit was suspended, and a red placard was posted.
Other issues noted during the inspection included an employee picking up a glove from the floor and putting on a new pair of gloves without washing hands, and shredded mozzarella cheese that was found held past the seven-day use period.
The very next day however, Chicago Grill was reinspected and received a green placard. According to the inspector's report, the person in charge said the pipe to the wastewater tank was detached, which led to the leakage. The person in charge got the plumbing work done and reattached the drain line properly. As of April 15, the red placard was removed and replaced with a green placard.

Los Hidalguenses (Mobile) is located at 310 Tiffany Ct. in Champaign. On April 16, the business received a red placard following a health inspection.
The inspector noted that at the end of the inspection, there was no water left in the freshwater tank of the mobile. The person in charge told the inspector that they had filled the tank 48 hours before. Because of the lack of water, a red closure placard was posted.
To reopen, the restaurant was required to return proof of hot and cold water on the mobile and to contact the health district and verify that the corrections had been made.
Other issues noted included portions of red and green salsa held above 41°F. This was the second time this inspection violation was noted.
The next day, Los Hidalguenses (Mobile) was reinspected and received a green placard. The person in charge told the health district that the freshwater tank was completely refilled. The handwashing sink had running hot and cold water with enough pressure. As of April 17, the red placard was removed and replaced with a green placard.
