Hamas rejects Trump's Gaza plan as US poll shows public disapproval
ALBAWABA - Hamas has strongly opposed U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal for Gaza, asserting that what Israel failed to achieve through military force will not be accomplished through real estate deals.
Meanwhile, a U.S. poll indicates that a majority of Americans disapprove of the plan, while the White House insists that Trump's approach is the most viable solution.
In a statement, Hamas declared that Gaza will remain liberated through the efforts of its people and resistance fighters. The group criticized Trump's brokerage-style politics, arguing that Israel's failure to secure military control over Gaza after 15 months of war, destruction, and blockade proves the impossibility of external control.
Hamas further highlighted Israel's recent withdrawal from the Netzarim corridor, calling it another failure of Israel's military campaign and proof that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's claims of total victory are false.

Despite growing criticism, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz defended Trump's strategy, asserting that no alternative plan has been presented to address the crisis for Gaza's two million residents.
In an NBC interview, Waltz stressed that Israel will destroy Hamas if it violates the ceasefire and insisted that Trump views the issue through a pragmatic lens.
However, a CBS poll revealed that 47% of Americans believe U.S. control over Gaza is a bad idea, while only 13% support it. Meanwhile, 54% of respondents expressed approval of Trump's handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
