Spirits in the City at the Cairo Opera House
As part of the 'Spirits in the City' series, a captivating Ramadan night awaits at the Cairo Opera House on Monday, 3rd March. Themed 'The Land Speaks Arabic', this tribute honours the timeless contributions of Sheikh Sayed Mekkawi, the legendary mesaharati whose music has resonated across generations. His daughter, writer Amira Sayed Mekkawi, will be among the esteemed guests, celebrating his remarkable legacy. Hosted at the Small Hall in partnership with Cairo, My Address and the Opera House's Cultural and Intellectual Activities programme, this open-invitation event promises a night filled with nostalgia, culture, and appreciation of one of Egypt's most beloved musical icons.
