Yemen's Sayyed Al-Houthi Condemns Israeli Offensive on Gaza as ‘Horrific War Crime', Calls for Regional Action
The leader of Yemen's Ansarullah Movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, condemned the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza, calling it 'the most horrific war crime of the modern era.' In a televised address, Sayyed Al-Houthi emphasized that the Israeli enemy has continued its comprehensive war on Palestinian civilians for over fifty days. He also revealed that Gaza's health system has been nearly entirely destroyed, with medical supplies and fuel being blocked, resulting in the deaths of dozens of patients—40% of whom were suffering from kidney diseases. The ongoing siege has exacerbated the crisis, leaving the civilian population vulnerable and deprived of critical care. Israeli Policy of Starvation and Escalating Attacks Further, the Ansarullah leader pointed out that the Israeli occupation entity is employing a policy of systematic starvation as a tool to exert pressure on the Palestinian people, blocking the entry of food and medical supplies while also targeting any efforts to deliver basic necessities. He also mentioned that nearly a thousand Palestinians have been martyred or wounded in the past week alone, with the majority being women and children. 'The tragic images of dismembered children, which have become a daily occurrence, are the result of American-made bombs continuing to be supplied by the US to the Israeli occupation,' Sayyed Abdul Malik asserted. Additionally, Sayyed Al-Houthi sharply criticized Israeli claims of military achievements, asserting that the Israeli occupation has failed to confront the resistance forces directly and instead resorts to the destruction of civilian infrastructure and the mass killing of innocent civilians. He stressed that what the Israeli enemy describes as 'military achievements' are nothing more than lies and staged operations, noting that the Israeli military has failed to locate underground tunnels or make any significant ground advancements. Escalating Settler Violence in the West Bank Turning his attention to the West Bank, Sayyed Al-Houthi warned of the alarming escalation in the gradual annexation process, with unprecedented growth in settler activity. This has been accompanied by the demolition of homes and the uprooting of Palestinian lands. He specifically pointed to the city of Jenin, where around 3,000 residential units have been damaged, part of what he described as a 'destructive program' aimed at eliminating Palestinian refugee camps. Growing Attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and Plans for Its Destruction The movement's leader expressed grave concern over the intensifying assaults on Al-Aqsa Mosque, highlighting the largest raid in the mosque's history in recent days, involving over 7,000 Zionist settlers. He warned that these incursions are part of a calculated strategy to influence public opinion in favor of the eventual demolition of Al-Aqsa and the construction of what is referred to as the 'Temple Mount,' referencing a widely circulated video depicting the planned destruction of the mosque. Sayyed Al-Houthi condemned the United States as a 'main partner in war crimes,' revealing that the US continues its massive airlift of weapons to Israel on a daily basis, further fueling the violence against Palestinians. Solidarity with Palestinian Resistance Sayyed Al-Houthi concluded by praising the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Palestinian people. He reaffirmed that the resistance option remains the most effective strategy in the face of these challenges. He also called upon the Arab and Islamic nations to take tangible steps to support Palestine, including severing ties with the Israeli occupation, expressing confidence that ultimately, victory will belong to the resistance.

Sayyed Al-Houthi Says to Meet Escalation with Escalation, Calls for Million-Strong Rally
The leader of Yemen's Ansarullah revolutionary group Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi on Sunday called for a 'million-strong' march of defiance after deadly US strikes hit the capital, Sanaa, and other areas. 'I call on our dear people to go out tomorrow on the anniversary of the Battle of Badr in a million-strong march in Sanaa and the rest of the governorates,' Sayyed Al-Houthi said in a televised address, referring to a celebrated military victory by the Prophet Muhammad. In the speech aired Sunday night, the Yemeni revolutionary leader warned: 'We will confront escalation with escalation.' 'We will respond to the US enemy in its raids, in its attacks, with missile strikes, by targeting its aircraft carrier, its warships, its ships,' he said. 'However, we also still have escalation options. If it continues its aggression, we will move to additional escalation options.' BREAKING Houthi leader declares that from now on, all American ships are banned from entering the Red Sea. — Globe Eye News (@GlobeEyeNews) March 17, 2025 Hours after Sayyed Al-Houthi's speech, Yemeni Armed Forces claimed responsibility on Monday for a second attack on a US aircraft carrier group in 24 hours, in retaliation for US strikes. The announcement came a few hours after the US launched two strikes targeting Hodeidah, a port city in western Yemen. On Sunday, the Yemeni Health Ministry said the overnight US strikes killed at least 53 people, including five women and two children, and wounded almost 100 in the capital of Sanaa and other provinces, including Saada. The overnight airstrikes were one of the most extensive attacks on Yemen since the war in Gaza began in October 2023.
