Iranian President receives Sayyid Fahd
Muscat: President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran received at his place of residence on Wednesday HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers. The visit took place within the context of the Iranian President's current visit to the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation across various fields, as well as pathways to enhance common interests in a manner that serves both the Omani and Iranian peoples. It was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister and Ibrahim Ahmed Al Mu'aini, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran, in addition to some officials at the Iranian government.

His Majesty the Sultan, Iranian President hold official talks
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran, today held a round of official talks at Al Alam Palace. At the outset of the session, His Majesty the Sultan reiterated his welcome for President Pezeshkian and his delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay. President Pezeshkian expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the warm welcome and hospitality. The session reviewed the deep-rooted historical relations between the two friendly countries, exchanged views on current developments in the region, as well as efforts to consolidate the Omani-Iranian partnership, notably in the fields of industry, commerce, and education. The session also sought ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of logistics and health in a manner that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples. Then, His Majesty the Sultan and President Pezeshkian held a closed-door session. The talks session was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister (Head of the Mission of Honour), Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (Head of the Omani side in the Oman-Iran Economic Cooperation Joint Committee) and Ibrahim bin Ahmed Al Muaini, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran. The session was attended from the Iranian side by Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohsen Haji-Mirzaei, Head of the President's Office, Mohammad Atabek, Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade, Head of the Iranian side in the Oman-Iran Economic Cooperation Joint Committee, Air Commodore Aziz Nasirzadeh, Minister of Defence and Logistics of the Armed Forces, Amin Hossein Rahimi, Minister of Justice, Ahmad Meydari, Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, Gholamhossein Zarei, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament, Mohammad-Reza Farzin, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Mousa Farhang, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman and several officials from the Iranian government.

Majlis A'Shura, Council of Ministers pledge closer coordination
Muscat – The Council of Ministers and Majlis A'Shura held a joint meeting on Sunday to enhance cooperation and align efforts in implementing public policies in line with the Basic Law of the State and Council of Oman Law. Chaired by H H Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Council of Ministers, the meeting was attended by members of the council, H E Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of shura, and senior shura members. H H Sayyid Fahd highlighted the importance of coordination between the shura and the government in supporting Oman's comprehensive development efforts. He emphasised the need for ongoing collaboration to ensure the efficient delivery of public services and address the evolving needs of citizens. The meeting also underscored the Council of Ministers' commitment to engaging with the shura as a partner in the nation-building process. It noted that serving ministers regularly respond to shura requests to provide ministerial statements detailing government projects and initiatives. Proposals and opinions of shura members are studied and incorporated into economic and social plans and programmes. Discussions during the meeting included proposals for improving community awareness programmes and enhancing the role of the Coordination Committee, which acts as a bridge between the council and the shura. The chairman and members of the shura office appreciated the joint meeting, describing it as a vital step towards reinforcing collaboration. They acknowledged the government's ongoing support and pledged to enhance their efforts in the next phase of Oman's development. The meeting concluded with a commitment to further enhance coordination to preserve the gains made so far and to ensure sustained progress in the coming years.

Sayyid Fahd offers Eid Al Fitr prayers at Al Khor Mosque
MUSCAT: HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, performed Eid Al Fitr prayers at Al Khor Mosque in Muscat on Monday. The prayers were performed alongside HH Sayyid Fahd by Royal Family members, ministers and officials. The prayers were led by Dr Shaikh Kahlan bin Nabhan al Kharousi, Assistant Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, who began the sermon with the glorification of the Almighty Allah. The sermon highlighted the objectives of fasting, manifested in steadfastness in the course of righteousness, patience in the face of hardships, desires and doubts, as well as resilience for attaining noble goals through diligence and overcoming difficulties with unwavering resolve. Dr Shaikh Kahlan prayed to the Almighty Allah to protect His Majesty the Sultan and safeguard the Sultanate of Oman and the Muslim world against all harms. On this blessed occasion, HH Sayyid Fahd expressed his best wishes to all citizens and residents on the auspicious occasion of Eid Al Fitr, praying to Allah the Almighty to grant His Majesty the Sultan and the Royal Family good health, happiness and a long life. He also prayed to Allah to grant His Majesty the Sultan and the government success to pursue the march of modernisation that covers various aspects of life, in accordance with preset plans that keep pace with updates in the fields of science and knowledge, safeguard the achievements and gains made by the country and support sustainable development, progress and prosperity for Oman and its noble people.
