His Majesty the Sultan, Iranian President hold official talks
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran, today held a round of official talks at Al Alam Palace. At the outset of the session, His Majesty the Sultan reiterated his welcome for President Pezeshkian and his delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay. President Pezeshkian expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the warm welcome and hospitality. The session reviewed the deep-rooted historical relations between the two friendly countries, exchanged views on current developments in the region, as well as efforts to consolidate the Omani-Iranian partnership, notably in the fields of industry, commerce, and education. The session also sought ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of logistics and health in a manner that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples. Then, His Majesty the Sultan and President Pezeshkian held a closed-door session. The session was attended from the Iranian side by Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohsen Haji-Mirzaei, Head of the President's Office, Mohammad Atabek, Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade, Head of the Iranian side in the Oman-Iran Economic Cooperation Joint Committee, Air Commodore Aziz Nasirzadeh, Minister of Defence and Logistics of the Armed Forces, Amin Hossein Rahimi, Minister of Justice, Ahmad Meydari, Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, Gholamhossein Zarei, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament, Mohammad-Reza Farzin, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Mousa Farhang, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman and several officials from the Iranian government.

Hamdan bin Mohammed meets with Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, met with His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting, held as part of Sheikh Hamdan's official visit to Oman leading a high-level delegation, reviewed the strong and growing ties between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman. Both sides underscored the importance of mutual visits in strengthening cooperation and unlocking new opportunities for mutual prosperity. H.H. commended the continued positive momentum in relations, reflecting a shared commitment to common goals and enhanced Gulf collaboration across key sectors. Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to deepening cooperation with Oman across various fields, building on the strong historical and brotherly ties between the two nations. He expressed confidence that bilateral relations will continue to flourish, aligned with the shared vision and joint efforts on both sides to build a prosperous future. The meeting also explored ways to strengthen defence cooperation through increased coordination and joint efforts between the armed forces on either side. Both sides emphasised the importance of efforts to boost the exchange of military expertise and to enhance the technical prowess and practical capabilities of personnel to ensure operational excellence and professionalism in line with global standards. The two sides also discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, including key regional and international developments. They highlighted the need for greater international cooperation to achieve lasting peace in the interests of regional security and stability The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence; Major General Hamdan Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Head of the Military Operations and Strategic Planning; Major General Yousef Al Helami, Commander of the Land Forces; and Major General Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli, Director of the Office of the Minister of Defence. HH Sayyid Shihab returns home
Muscat: HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs returned home coming from the Republic of Iraq after leading the Sultanate of Oman's delegation at the 34th Arab Summit andthe Fifth Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, which were heldin Bagdad. It should be noted that HH Sayyid Shihab and his accompanying delegation left Baghdad earlier on Saturday. They were seen off by some Iraqi officials and members of the Omani Embassy in Baghdad.

Sayyid Shihab arrives in Iraq for Arab Summit
