PGIMER's Ravindra Khaiwal named among world's top researchers
1 2 3 Chandigarh: Ravindra Khaiwal , a distinguished faculty member from the department of community medicine and School of Public Health at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research ( PGIMER ), Chandigarh, has been recognised as a 2024 highly ranked scholar by ScholarGPS, a globally respected platform for evaluating academic coveted recognition places Prof Khaiwal among the top 0.05% of scholars worldwide, reflecting his exceptional contributions to public health, environmental monitoring , climate change, and air pollution to the ScholarGPS 2024 global rankings, Khaiwal ranks 1st in North India, 21st worldwide in environmental monitoring, 16th in air pollution, 36th in pollution, 40th in general public health and 174th in public pioneering research has significantly influenced environmental and health policy, addressing some of the most pressing global challenges. Indiana State University Dean honored as Centennial Scholar
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Dr. Terry Daugherty, the dean of ISU's Scott College of Business, was one of 100 master's and doctoral alumni to be named a Centennial Scholar. The 100 individuals were honored by the University of Alabama to commemorate 100 years of graduate education. The 100 chosen were those the University of Alabama believed had distinguished themselves professionally and had brought honor to their institutions. 'I congratulate Dr. Daugherty on this distinguished and well-deserved achievement,' said Dr. Christopher Olsen, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Indiana State. 'His decorated research and academic achievements have not only garnered national recognition but have been a pillar of his leadership at the Scott College of Business, which is nationally recognized as one of the best business schools in the nation.' Dr. Daugherty earned his master's degree in advertising and public relations from the University of Alabama in 1999. Dr. Daugherty has served on the faculty of Vanderbilt University, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Akron before working with ISU. Dr. Daugherty ranks among the top 1% of marketing researchers by ResearchGate (a 25+ million-member global community), with work that has been read by more than 180,000 scientists and the top 1% of advertising researchers according to ScholarGPS, a site that classifies 30 million scientists across 55,000 institutions. He has also co-authored a textbook titled 'eMarketing: Digital Marketing Strategy' that was recognized by the Cunningham Memorial Library's Authors & Artists award from ISU. 'I am honored by this recognition, as my experience at the University of Alabama was truly a formative period for my development, and I feel tremendous gratitude for the wonderful professors who invested in me as a student,' stated Dr. Daugherty.
