Anthony HS graduates total $3M in scholarships
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Fifty-three students graduated from Anthony High School last week and this year's class broke a four-year record by collectively earning more than $3 million in scholarships, Anthony Independent School District said. The graduation ceremony was held on May 29 at the Magoffin Auditorium at UTEP. Among the many accomplishments, graduating senior Jozef Nava was awarded theTommy Sanchez Scholarship. Other notable scholarships earned by students includedUTEP's Excellence Scholarship and the 'Keep Moving' Scholarship from the TexasAssociation of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (TALAS) El Paso Chapter.'We are very proud of the Class of 2025,' Anthony High School Principal SandraEspinoza said. 'This class stood out due to their incredible involvement in extracurricular activities. Many of them set a goal to reach the state level in their events, and they made ithappen. From band and colorguard to esports and UIL academics, our students not onlymade it to state competitions, they placed in the top level.
