Chavez is ranked No. 1 in the USA TODAY 25 in '25 Girls Basketball Recruiting Rankings. Last month she was named a McDonald's All-American and earlier this week she won the Naismith Girls High School Player of the Year award. On Friday, the website On3 reported that Chavez now considers Texas and Oklahoma as her top choices. She has said she will announce her choice on March 25.
