Hunting, music and more at Pricketts Fort in 2025
FAIRMONT, (WBOY) — Pricketts Fort State Park has already announced its full lineup of events for 2025, this year featuring activities like traditional hunting workshops, live music and old-fashioned cooking.
According to a press release from Pricketts Fort, the event season at the park begins April 21 with more than 40 events planned between the opening day and Dec. 14.
The fort, which was originally constructed in 1774, served as a refuge against Native American attacks. In the present day, a reconstruction of the fort exists alongside the Mon River Rail Trail and regularly holds events during the spring and summer months like Colonial Kids Day.
