American Legion Post 100 to host Memorial Day commemoration in Monroe County
UNION, WV (WVNS) — A special Memorial Day commemoration will be held by American Legion Post 100 to honor military members that have laid down their lives in battle.
According to a press release, the event will take place at the Monroe County Courthouse in Union on May 26, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. The yearly National Moment of Remembrance will close the commemoration at 3:00 p.m.

Members of the public are encouraged to take part in the important and solemn opportunity to honor military members that lost their lives in combat, the release noted.

The American Legion is a nonpartisan organization open to veterans from any branch or period of service, including those currently enlisted. The organization's goal is to support veterans, their loved ones, promote patriotism, and bolster youth education.
