Here is the full IEB final exam timetable: 2025 IEB NSC Examination by oratile on Scribd How to deal with exam stress As preparations for the exam season tend to be stressful, clinical psychologist Evelyn Nagel gave tips on how matrics can cope with the stress. Here are some tips that can help you cope with stress: Switch off your devices. Try not to watch TV immediately after studying, as this will interfere with the work you studied, and you will lose the information you learned. Hydration, exercise and a well-balanced diet are healthy for your brain to function optimally. Laugh, play, and have some fun, which you schedule as a reward. Before the exam, don't discuss the work with friends, as this increases anxiety. Just be positive and confident in what you have learned. After the exam is done, don't have a post-mortem; it will affect the next exam, and this will not benefit you. Focus on some self-care before preparing for the next exam. Consult with teachers and tutors to clarify the challenging work. Use past papers and set yourself mock exams to test your knowledge before the exam. Approach the exam with a positive attitude. You have written many exams before this one. Always start your paper with questions you feel comfortable with, and time yourself per question. Have a schedule consisting of three-hour sessions with 10 to 15-minute breaks every hour, and at the end of three hours, take a power nap. Limit caffeine. Manage expectations. Exercise regularly. Ask for help and accept support. Leave the stress in the exam hall. Be kind to yourself. NOW READ: Higher education minister apologises for late Nsfas payments, addresses appeals

Jacksonville Beach considering strict time limits for public parking after semi truck complaints

People parking their cars on the road to go to Jacksonville Beach may soon have to start setting timers. The city is now considering limiting the time you're allowed to park in the public spots on A1A after it says neighbors complained about semi trucks parking overnight. The proposal calls for changing how long any vehicle is able to park on A1A between Osceola Avenue and the St. Johns County line from 60 hours to 4 hours. Ordinance No. 2025-8222 Restricting Parking on SR A1A (1) by ActionNewsJax on Scribd The documents of the proposal say neighbors complained semi trucks parking in the spots on the side of the road have been 'disturbing the peace' by parking or sitting idle overnight. Some of the neighbors we spoke with in neighboring streets to A1A weren't as bothered. 'It does take up public parking, a semi truck may be 3, 4, 5 spots or whatever it is,' Sean Hurd, who has been living on First Street South for 25 years, said. 'But in terms of being a nuisance or an eyesore or anything like that, I don't necessarily feel that that's a problem.' [DOWNLOAD: Free Action News Jax app for alerts as news breaks] There are public spots lining First Street across from Hurd's house for those looking to get onto the beach from the southern end of the city. Hurd believes setting a 4-hour time limit for parking on A1A could make the parking situation on his street worse. 'There are not enough public parking spots on this end of the beach,' Hurd said. 'If cars end up having to move every four hours, that could be problematic.' [SIGN UP: Action News Jax Daily Headlines Newsletter] Right now, Jax Beach allows parking anywhere along A1A for up to 60 hours at a time, whether it's a car or semi truck sitting there. Action News Jax asked the Jacksonville Beach Police Department how it would enforce the shorter time limits for parking, if they're passed. The department told us it would only comment on this if it does end up passing. The proposal is going to Jax Beach city council in its meeting next Monday night, starting at 6:00 PM at City Hall. Read: House Republicans' stopgap funding bill

House Republicans over the weekend rolled out a short-term government funding plan, kicking off a crucial stretch for GOP leadership to lock down support ahead of Friday's shutdown deadline. The plan released Saturday seeks to keep the government funded through September at mostly fiscal year 2024 levels, in lieu of a bipartisan agreement to pass full-year spending bills. The strategy, which has been backed by President Trump, has drawn Democrats' ire.
