When is King of the Hill reboot releasing? Cast and where to watch
After 16 years, King of the Hill is making a comeback. The new season—Season 14—will be released on August 4, 2025. All 10 episodes will come out on the same day, so fans can watch the whole season at once. In the US, the show will stream only on Hulu, and international viewers can watch it on Disney+ through the Hulu hub. The show was originally created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels. It aired from 1997 to 2009, and people loved it for its mix of humor, family stories, and small-town life. It's set in a made-up town called Arlen, Texas, and follows propane salesman Hank Hill, his quirky family, and his funny neighbors. The new season picks up about 15 years later. Hank and Peggy Hill have just come back from Saudi Arabia, where Hank was working in propane. But Arlen has changed. The town now has things like social media, smart homes, and delivery drones. Also Read: Clint Hill, Secret Service agent who leapt onto JFK's car after the president was shot, dies at 93 Bobby Hill, who used to be a goofy middle schooler, is now 21 years old and living in Dallas. He's trying to become a professional chef. His story now focuses on adult life, chasing dreams, and figuring out who he is. Some of Bobby's old friends are back too: Connie is a violinist living in New York. Joseph is still his wild, funny self. Chane returns and reconnects with Bobby. Dale Gribble, always full of conspiracy theories, is now worried about AI and tech surveillance—bringing in new jokes that feel very current. There's also a new high school principal, and many local businesses in Arlen have closed or changed. The show still feels like King of the Hill, but now it talks about today's issues too—like climate change, politics, and how people live in a digital world. Bobby Hill grows up One of the biggest changes in the show is Bobby Hill. He's not a kid anymore—he's an adult trying to make it as a chef. His life brings new stories about growing up, working toward goals, and reconnecting with old friends. Who's back in the cast? The original cast is back: Mike Judge voices Hank Hill and Boomhauer. Kathy Najimy is back as Peggy Hill. Pamela Adlon returns as Bobby. Stephen Root is back as Bill. Lauren Tom returns as Minh. Ashley Gardner is back as Nancy. Jonathan Joss returns as John Redcorn. Sadly, Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale, passed away in 2023. But he finished voice work for six episodes. Toby Huss is stepping in to voice Dale in the other four episodes. The new season also has a brand-new opening scene that shows what life is like today. You'll see Boomhauer wearing a VR headset, Bobby scrolling on a food app, and Dale flying a drone while warning about AI. It's a fun way to show how the world has changed, but the heart of the show is still the same. A sneak peek of the revival was shown at the ATX TV Festival in Austin on May 30, 2025. Fans loved it and were happy to see that the show still feels like King of the Hill, just with a modern twist.

After 15 years, 'King of the Hill' is returning to TV on Hulu
After more than a decade off air, King of the Hill is officially returning with a brand new season on Hulu. The beloved animated series, which originally aired from 1997 to 2010 across 13 seasons and over 250 episodes, was known for its blend of subtle humour, heartfelt storytelling, and its grounded portrayal of small-town American life. Set in the fictional town of Arlen, Texas, the show followed propane salesman Hank Hill, whose conservative values often clashed with the eccentricities of his family and neighbours. Its charm lay in its sincerity, steering away from the exaggerated antics of other adult animations of the time. Now, Season 14 is set to premiere later this summer, marking the first batch of new episodes in 15 years. Fans will get an exclusive sneak peek during a panel at the ATX TV Festival on Friday 30 May. The panel will include co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, new showrunner Saladin K. Patterson, and cast members Pamela Adlon, Toby Huss, and Lauren Tom. This special event will not only provide behind-the-scenes stories from the original run but will also unveil the long-awaited first look at the revival. Fittingly, a barbecue celebration will follow the panel—an ode to the show's backyard banter and Hank Hill's love for propane. It is currently unclear whether the exclusive preview will be made available online, meaning festival attendees may be the only ones to view the early footage. What's New in Season 14? The revival is rumoured to be set in present-day America, featuring a time jump that advances the story nearly a decade from the series finale. This modern setting promises a nostalgic yet updated look at life in Arlen as the Hill family and their neighbours adjust to the changing times. While many plot details remain a mystery, cast members have shared that characters will age in line with the time skip. One of the most notable updates is that Bobby Hill is now a budding chef based in Dallas. His new culinary lifestyle is expected to contrast sharply with Hank's more traditional views, creating opportunities for both laughs and touching moments. As for the other residents of Arlen, their stories are still under wraps. The revival is expected to address the absence of characters whose voice actors have sadly passed away since the show's original run. Who's Back in Arlen? Much of the original voice cast will be returning for the reboot, including Mike Judge as Hank, Kathy Najimy as Peggy, Stephen Root as Bill, Pamela Adlon as Bobby, and Lauren Tom as Minh. Their return is set to revive the unique comedic rhythm and warmth fans associate with the series. However, not every character's future is clear. The passing of Brittany Murphy and Tom Petty leaves questions around the characters of Luanne and Lucky. It also remains to be seen whether Toby Huss will return as Kahn. One emotional highlight of the new season will be the return of Dale Gribble. Johnny Hardwick, who voiced the fan-favourite character, had recorded several episodes before his sudden death in August 2023. These recordings mean fans will get to hear his iconic voice one last time.

‘Grey's Anatomy' Star Kim Raver Reflects On Series' 20th Anniversary
Kim Raver stars as Dr. Teddy Altman in "Grey's Anatomy." Longtime Grey's Anatomy star Kim Raver — who stars as Dr. Teddy Altman on the series — said she's thrilled to be a part of something 'extraordinary' as the acclaimed ABC medical drama celebrates its 20th anniversary. 'It's extraordinary with the amount of episodes that we get to do, especially now,' Raver, who started on Grey's Anatomy in 2009, said in a Zoom conversation Wednesday. 'You know, most episodic runs now are seven to eight episodes. But for a long time, we've been doing 20, 24, 26 [episodes] and now we're doing 18 and that's still huge … That's so incredible as an artist to be able to tell the story of the characters over such a long arc of time.' Grey's Anatomy officially turned 20 on March 27, two decades after the pilot episode for the classic series aired in 2005. Created by Shonda Rhimes, Grey's Anatomy, of course, chronicles the personal and professional lives of the doctors at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. Raver made her debut on Grey's Anatomy on Nov. 12, 2009, which was the ninth episode of Season 6. Following a five-year break after Season 8 in 2012, Raver returned Seattle Grace at the beginning of Season 14 in 2017 and has been with Grey's Anatomy ever since. Raver also directed Episode 11 — Training Day — in Season 19 in 2023, and returns to the director's chair to helm Thursday's episode, titled Don't You (Forget About Me). Approaching the 450 episode mark, Grey's Anatomy stars Ellen Pompeo (Dr. Meredith Grey), Chandra Wilson (Dr. Miranda Bailey) and James Pickens Jr. (Dr. Richard Webber), who have been with the series from the very beginning. Since then, the likes of Patrick Dempsey (Dr. Derek 'McDreamy' Shepherd), Katherine Heigl (Dr. Izzie Stevens), Sandra Oh (Dr. Christina Yang), T.R. Knight (Dr. George O'Malley) and Kate Walsh (Dr. Addison Montgomery) have come and gone through the doors of Seattle Grace, but the series in its 21st season is as strong as it's ever been. In addition to Pompeo, Wilson, Pickens and Raver, today's lineup includes Kevin McKidd (Dr. Owen Hunt), Camilla Ludington (Dr. Jo Wilson), Caterina Scorsone (Dr. Amelia Shepherd) and Debbie Allen (Dr. Catherine Fox) — one of the many cast members who have doubled as a director and executive producer on the series — as well as several other series regulars, recurring and guest stars. (Photo by) Thursday night's episode is particularly special for Kim Raver since it marks the second episode she's directing in the series. Raver is in front of the camera, too, of course, as Dr. Teddy Altman, the Chief of Surgery at the Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital, and she is thrilled to be directing herself in a huge character development that will unfold during the episode. The excitement Raver said she feels for Thursday's episode is an extension of the blessings she's felt all along as a cast member and creative on Grey's Anatomy. Ultimately, Raver said, she's forever thankful to Shonda Rhimes for not only the opportunities she's had on the series, but for what Rhimes has meant to the entire Grey's Anatomy family since the show kicked off in 2005. Kim Raver directing Thursday's episode of "Grey's Anatomy," titled "Don't You (Forget About Me)." 'It really starts with Shonda Rhimes and the voice that she found in telling these stories … that's the thing that I love most,' Raver said, humbly. 'Also, I think what makes this show so sustainable over such a long period of time is that these characters aren't perfect. They're messy. They make mistakes. They're in their real lives. I mean, yes. Sometimes they're very heightened situations — they have their hero moments and they have their moments where they really fall from grace. 'That's what I've loved about Teddy, that she's ever-evolving … Shonda has never shied away from allowing the characters their many moments,' Raver added. 'There are things that they get right and things that they get wrong.' While Raver can't be grateful enough for the opportunity to work with Rhimes and her fellow cast and crew members, she also noted that the show wouldn't exist if not for the love of it from viewers. 'The fans of the show have been with us for so long,' Raver enthused. 'The fan base is so incredible.' Kim Raver as Dr. Teddy Altman and Sophia Bush as Dr. Cass Beckman in the "Grey's Anatomy" Season 21, ... More Episode 11 episode, "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." Bush returns for Episode 13, which is airing Thursday. Raver, naturally, can't wait for the enormous fan base of Grey's Anatomy to see Thursday's episode. The official logline for Don't You (Forget About Me) reads, "Amelia and Simone attempt to perform a high-stakes and groundbreaking brain surgery. Teddy and Bailey attend a medical conference and run into Dr. Cass Beckman. Meanwhile, Jo struggles with her irritation toward a younger OB-GYN.' 'The episode is very large in creative and emotional arcs within each character,' Raver teased. Raver discussed in spoiler-filled detail the events of Thursday's episode, which will be published in a new interview feature on Friday — so check back for the episode wrap-up. Grey's Anatomy Season 21, Episode 13 — Don't You (Forget About Me) — airs Thursday night on ABC at 10 p.m. ET/PT and 9 p.m. CT. The episode will begin streaming on Hulu on Friday.

Kyle Richards Hints at Why She and Mauricio Haven't Reconciled: "Decisions Need to Be Made"
Kyle Richards opened up about her and Mauricio Umansky's split like never before during Season 14, Episode 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and now, she's sharing even more information about what went wrong in their marriage. "I mean, clearly if you want something to work, you have to do the work. And I didn't see that being done. I think Mau thought, 'I'm always nice to you.' And that's that's not doing the work; That's being nice to me," Kyle said on the Feb. 25 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show. "But doing the work? I just don't know if he has it in him, or wants to." She also clarified a comment she previously made during her at-home appointment with her therapist and life coach about Mauricio "not fighting" for their marriage. "Not doing the work is what I mean when I say not fighting for the marriage," Kyle continued on the After Show. "When it actually did crumble and we separated, we finally went to therapy, but there was an agreement where he would go to therapy on his own and we would do therapy together and I would go on my own, and he just decided not to do that." Mauricio Umansky Undergoes Surgery After Ski Accident in Aspen: Details Dorit Kemsley Grills Kyle Richards About Her Future with Mauricio: 'I Don't Understand...' Kyle Reveals New Details About Alexia's Wedding Plans: 'She Knows Exactly What She Wants' On the RHOBH After Show, Kyle said that since filming on Season 14 wrapped, she's talked to Mauricio about what's next in their separation. As she put it, "I have said to him, 'We have to have the harder conversations now. A lot of decisions are going to have to be made.'" Kyle said on the RHOBH After Show that she and Mauricio have simply been hesitant to make their split official. "If we hated each other it would be so easy — not really, but emotionally easy. I think that it was just hard, and neither one of us wanted to be the one to say, 'OK. We're not going to be together and let's start figuring everything out,'" Kyle explained. "We've made it easy for each other to not have to do that by just avoiding everything, actually." In another After Show clip, Kyle further discussed how she's constantly being asked about the prospect of divorce — even from her own castmates. "I think a lot of the women were pressing for answers from me before I even had the answers myself. I think they didn't believe me, but I genuinely did not," she said. "They were watching my marriage unfold in real time. So, I was like, 'Guys, I don't have the answers. Not everyone has them that fast." Related: Kyle Reveals She Made a Major Update to Her House Amid Mauricio Split: 'It Was Time' So, yes — it's taken Kyle and Mauricio quite some time to figure out where they'll go from here. But Kyle needed that time. 'I need time to figure things out. Time to figure out where I'm at. It doesn't bring me happiness to say, 'My marriage didn't work out and I'm moving on.' But I'm happy that I'm in a place where I can at least say, 'OK, we should have these conversations.' They're not easy to have, but decisions need to be made," Kyle continued. "I'm clear now and I feel stronger, which I'm really grateful for because a year ago I did not feel strong. I just felt scared. In my mind, I knew we were going to have to move forward, just at our own pace. And, you know, we're just taking it day by day." Sutton Makes New Claims on Dorit Kemsley's Finances: "All I See Are Lies" Kyle Sounds Off on 'Strange' Photos of Mauricio Kissing Another Woman (EXCLUSIVE) How Kyle's Daughters Reacted to Mauricio's Paparazzi Photos: 'Doesn't Feel Good' Kyle's RHOBH After Show remarks come on the heels of her revealing therapy session, during which she admitted she's eager to move forward in her separation with Mauricio. "Everyone's like, 'Are you getting divorced? Are you getting divorced?' I mean, everybody asks me that. I think I'm anxious, I'm getting impatient. I'm impatient because I wanna know what my life is gonna be. I think it's different for men. I mean, he's just going and living his best life. He's a happy little camper," Kyle explained. When Kyle's therapist asked her why she can't also live her best life, she said that she can. 'I guess it's just, there's a little part of me that thinks, okay, say I move on with somebody new. What if he's like, 'OK, I went and sowed my wild oats,' or whatever that expression is," Kyle added, weighing the possibility that Mauricio might want to get back together. "I mean, he's the one that said, 'I know this comes with a risk.'' At the same time, "When we were struggling, it felt like he was just waiting for me to get over it instead of saying, like, 'No, I love you, we are not doing this, we're going to fight until we fix everything,'" Kyle continued. "I don't know what's more sad: If he didn't want to fight for me, or if he wanted to and didn't know how. Either way, he didn't. I'm starting to feel like I need to really move on.'
