Fallout 76 patch notes and how to start the fishing questline in the new season

The Gone Fission update for Fallout 76 is here with a new fishing questline, new Season 21 rewards, and a whole host of patch notes to check out Whether you want to spruce up your C.A.M.P with some soggy, seaweed-riddled furniture or head out to the wasteland to get some fishing challenges under your belt, you can get as wet and wild as you like in the Gone FIssion update. Fallout 76 Season 21 has washed up alongside the Gone Fission update, bringing with it the fresh fishing gameplay mechanic, a new questline, new rewards and a ton of combat and Perk tweaks, after a longer-than-usual downtime. ‌ Kick off the Casting Off questline to get a rod, and you can start catching, eating and displaying fish to your heart's content. We'll get into how to start the quest before we share the patch notes, which are long, but highlights include a fast travel cost reduction of 25%, removing the Perk requirements from crafting, and the ability to repair items to 100% if you have the correct perks. ‌ How to start the Fallout 76 Casting Off quest Fishy adventure awaits in the Mire, where a new location has appeared. Make a beeline for Fishernan's Rest to kick things off and here, you'll encounter three fresh NPCs. There's Linda-Lee, a hermit crab who belongs to The Fisherman – not his birthname, presumably – as well as Captain Raymond Clark. You'll unlock the fishing rod during the quest which you can use any place you can swim, basically. The rod won't show up in your PipBoy so you can't confuse it with junk rods. You'll find and earn upgrades for it which you can apply at the Tinkers Workbench to tweak your tackle. Caught fish can be eaten straight from your inventory or you can use a recipe to whip up something like Fish Bits (unlocked as soon as you catch a fish or trade with a player) that restores a little bit of health and hunger, or Grilled Fish, which reduces the time it takes to hook a fish for 20 minutes – and there'll be more to unlock. Fallout 76 patch notes Here's the full Fallout 76 patch notes taken from Bethesda blog. The update weighs in at 15GB ( Steam) or 32GB ( Microsoft Store) on PC, 32.6GB on Xbox, and 8.2gb on PlayStation, although my PS5 download was just under 126GB because apparently I hit the bug that makes you reinstall the entire game. It's okay, I hadn't gotten that far into Oblivion Remastered... Combat Rebalance – A Year in Update Last year we kicked off our long-term combat rebalancing project with the Skyline Valley update. We started this work wanting to make sure: combat felt interesting and engaging. most/if not all weapons felt satisfying to use. all builds and weapons should have a reasonable amount of viability. manual aim should be satisfying and effective while still allowing VATS to perform well in specialized builds. majority of players should have an opportunity to participate in group content. reduce the need for 'tag the mob' play styles. ‌ With the changes made so far, we've seen significant improvement in the variety of ranged weapons being used. There are also fewer difficulty spikes in early to mid-game locations which makes the leveling experience smoother for our newer players. Build diversity has also increased as we see people exploring the new opportunities that the Perk card changes have provided. While we've already made significant progress, the next few updates will include a few larger and more impactful changes and represent the culmination of much of the balancing work we've done. This gives us a solid new foundation for the future content we have planned. After these updates, we plan on slowing down to let things settle and evaluate how things shake out. ‌ Combat Balance Harpoon Gun Base Damage has increased from 175 -> 245 Barbed Mod: Range now matches base weapon and Bleed length lasts 15 seconds. Note: This only applies when using the Quad legendary mod. Limb Damage and Crippling Changes ‌ We are making changes to the way that enemy limbs are affected by various effects. The mods, perks, and weapons mentioned below previously had a chance to instantly cripple a target, but now they deal a percentage increase to the amount of limb damage dealt. We expect that these changes will make most enemies easier to cripple while making limb damage more consistent and predictable. It will also result in making crippling enemies like Region Bosses more difficult, requiring more focused fire. These changes will also allow us to remove cripple immunity from many creatures and leverage limb and crippling in more engaging ways moving forward. ‌ Limb Perk Changes Bashers Rank 1: Gun bashing does +35% limb damage. Streaming Set Another Record In April, But ‘Grey's Anatomy' And ‘The White Lotus' Prove Linear's Reach, Nielsen Says

Streaming's share of total TV viewing set a new record in April, the third consecutive month it has hit a high, but shows like Grey's Anatomy and The White Lotus show the boost that linear TV can provide. That's one key takeaway from Nielsen's April edition of its monthly Gauge report of TV viewing. Broadcast and cable fell 7% and 16%, respectively, over that same year-to-year span, though each managed to inch up from March to April. The ongoing audience shift worked to the benefit of marquee shows that both stream and air on linear TV, as is the case with Grey's Anatomy and The White Lotus. Grey's drew 3.9 billion viewing minutes across Hulu and Netflix in April, and posted strong numbers in its 21st season on ABC, with next-day viewing exclusively on Hulu. Season 21 streams on Hulu accounted for 10% of the medical drama's total streaming viewership this month, despite representing just 3% of its episode count. Netflix represented about 60% of its streaming total this month. Max, which will soon return to its HBO Max roots, pulled in 3.7 billion viewing minutes for The White Lotus, making it the second most-watched streaming title this month. Even with that surge, Max held steady at 1.5% share. The Season 3 finale of The White Lotus racked up 6.2 million viewers across linear and streaming, up 30% from the next-to-last episode and establishing a record for the ensemble series. YouTube and The Roku Channel each hit all-time highs in April. YouTube reached 12.4% of total TV watch-time, up 0.4 of a point compared with March). Since January, YouTube has added 1.6 points to its share of TV, and 2.8 points since April 2024. The Roku Channel gained 0.2 share point over March to account for 2.4% of overall TV viewing. Its tune-in has increased 21% since November, which was when the free service began adding access to subscription offerings like Max from within its service. On a year-over-year basis, The Roku Channel topped all distributors tracked by Nielsen with a 67% increase. The men's NCAA basketball tournament helped broadcast TV's showing, delivering an audience of 18.3 million viewers on CBS for the championship game, with The Masters golf tournament also up 36% from last year. Time spent watching broadcast TV in April inched up 0.3 percentage points to 20.8%. ESPN's NFL Draft coverage helped cable gain half a share point from March. As One Grey's Anatomy Couple Weds, Another Breaks Up — and a Third Relationship Lands on Life Support

The penultimate Season 21 episode of Grey's Anatomy was — sorry, Dickens — the best of times, the worst of times. On one hand, it was Jo and Link's wedding day. On the other, young Dylan remained in a bad way that only got worse. In addition, while Nora managed to pose a new threat to Teddy and Owen's future, Lucas huffed and puffed that he and Simone didn't have one. Read on for all the details… JO HIT THE MOTHER LODE | As 'Love You Like a Love Song' began, tensions flared between Jo and her future mother-in-law, Maureen (guest star Bess Armstrong). Link's mom was eager to help but only in ways that the bride didn't want — like doing her makeup so that she resembled, in her words, '1983 Boy George' and offering up a giant veil that could've been a prop from The Last Showgirl. More from TVLine Ghosts EPs Talk Finale's 'Perilous' Jay Cliffhanger, Pete and Alberta's Big Moment - Plus, Grade It! 9-1-1 Ends on Explosive Cliffhanger Ahead of Season 8 Finale, With Major Changes in Store for the 118 Law & Order: Organized Crime: An SVU Pal Returns to Help Stabler Realize He's Been Hoodwinked - Read Recap Thankfully, wedding officiant Levi soon showed up and explained to Jo that Maureen was just being… well, a mom. Since Jo had never had one of those, she was unaware that this was occasionally the aggravating manner in which they showed love. With Levi's reassurance, Jo blurted out to Maureen that she didn't want the makeup or the headdress… although she did so more loudly than she ideally would have liked. Meanwhile, Link, who was working at Grey Sloan — yes, on his wedding day — let Bailey get in his head about the fact that he couldn't just 'wing it' when it came to reciting vows to his bride. Off Bailey's advice, he attempted to write something heartfelt the same way that he might post-op notes. That being an epic fail, Bailey suggested that he instead 'say how you feel in your own way.' Like it's that easy! TEDDY OPERATED ON NORA | Back from what sounded like a highly therapeutic vacation in Hawaii, Owen and Teddy had the glow of newlyweds. She didn't even ask to be taken off of the case of her husband's one-night stand, Nora, who was back in the hospital with an infected graft. Alas, the long-shot procedure that she and Winston attempted to perform on the patient failed; their only option was to recommend palliative care. On Teddy's way to Jo and Link's nuptials, she broke the news to Owen, who while still on duty, attempted to comfort Megan's childhood bestie. 'I know I shouldn't say this, but I'm dying so I have a pass now,' Nora told him. 'I think I'm a little bit in love with you.' By the time Teddy and Winston left the reception with a radical new idea that might save Nora, Owen was in her bed looking much cozier than his wife would've preferred. LUCAS DUMPED SIMONE | Throughout the hour, Lucas seized every opportunity to use Dylan's worsening condition as an excuse to give Simone the cold shoulder. At first, the child could only communicate by blinking; by the end, she couldn't even do that. Finally, outside of Jo and Link's wedding venue, Simone actually had to tell Lucas that she hadn't been rooting against Dylan, she'd just been being realistic. For his part, Lucas didn't see what was wrong with hoping for the best. That, Simone countered, was because he got bailed out every time he took a risk that didn't work out; not everybody was that lucky. That remark really stung. So Lucas decided that it was his turn to be realistic, and the reality was that he and Simone didn't have a future together. LINK RELEASED THE SONG IN HIS HEART | Before the wedding got underway, Jo stole a moment with Maureen to apologize and explain why it had been so alien to her to be mothered. The hatchet buried, the ceremony started with Levi walking his pal down the aisle. When it came time for the vows, swoon! Link sang his, and they were as cute and funny as they were romantic and sweet! 'How,' asked the bride, 'am I supposed to follow that?!?' As the hour drew to a close, Jules, high from Richard letting her perform an ostomy, informed Winston that she wasn't mad anymore that he didn't seem to want her on his service. The day had opened her eyes to other possibilities, and she wanted to explore them all! Finally, a devastated Simone was at Joe's Bar drowning her sorrows when she was hit on by a handsome stranger (Grown-ish's Trevor Jackson). Before the credits rolled, they were getting both hot and heavy! Grey's Anatomy's Most Memorable Moments View List So, Link's vows — best ever? Does Owen get a pass for being so cuddly with Nora since she's dying? And whoever Trevor Jackson's playing, he's already an upgrade from Lucas, right? Robert Irwin joins Dancing with the Stars season 34 as first celebrity contestant

The ballroom is about to get wilder ans fans can't wait for it. Dancing with the Stars has officially announced its first celebrity contestant for the highly-anticipated Season 34 , and it's none other than Australian wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin . The exciting news was confirmed on Tuesday, April 22, during an event, where it was also revealed that the beloved dance competition show has been renewed for another season. While the full cast of celebrities and pro dancers will be unveiled at a later date, Robert's participation has already ignited major buzz online. At just 21 years old, Robert carries the powerful legacy of his late father, Steve Irwin, the legendary 'Crocodile Hunter' who passed away tragically in 2006. Since then, Robert, alongside his mother Terri Irwin and sister Bindi Irwin , has continued to work at the Australia Zoo, championing wildlife preservation. The family starred together in the Animal Planet series Crikey! It's the Irwins, further cementing their dedication to conservation. Robert isn't the first Irwin to hit the DWTS stage—his sister Bindi Irwin made history in 2015 when she won Season 21 alongside professional dancer Derek Hough. Now, all eyes are on Robert to see if he can bring home another mirrorball trophy to the Irwin family. The conservationist recently turned heads for a different reason when he went viral earlier this month for a bold campaign with Australian underwear brand Bonds, which is expanding into the U.S. In the photos, Robert posed in nothing but Bonds boxers—surrounded by snakes, spiders, and other venomous creatures. In an interview he said, 'We are all trying to continue an important legacy that my dad started. I've gotten to find my own individual ways of doing that, and sometimes that comes in the form of modeling Bonds!' With his charisma, passion, and love for animals, Robert Irwin is already a fan-favorite to watch on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. Stay tuned for the full cast reveal—it's bound to be a wild ride!
