Intermittent damp weather for Seattle through Tuesday
SEATTLE - Damp weather will continue at times in the Seattle area through Tuesday before drier weather potentially returns Wednesday. Today will be far less wet compared to what many experienced on Saturday. Drier skies are likely between 6 p.m. Sunday night and roughly 2 a.m. Monday. Enjoy our partly sunny to mostly cloudy weather today. Be prepared for a possibly messy commute Monday morning. A band of widespread, drenching rain could sweep through Puget Sound by about 7 a.m. This could drop visibility in a big way and create slippery conditions. Drier weather takes over Wednesday and Thursday. Light, isolated showers could develop Friday and Saturday. Take good care! Thanks so much for choosing FOX 13. Seattle weather: When will drier skies return?
SEATTLE - If you're dreaming of summery weather in Seattle, we're not expecting that any time soon. We're gearing up for a damp and gray Saturday with a small chance for thunderstorms as well. In some areas today (especially King County and northward), we could see pockets of torrential rain. In isolated cases (particularly over the Cascades), there may be weak thunderstorms and small hail. Otherwise, this week will feature below-normal temperatures and occasional showers. A light shower is a possibility on Wednesday, but that day may be primarily dry. Right now, Thursday is the only day that is looking entirely dry this week (that could change!). A spotty shower could develop next Friday. Thanks so much for choosing FOX 13!Warmly, Meteorologist Abby Acone Viral TikTok warns women of convicted rapist released in Seattle Over 100 Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs stores to close, including 8 in WA Seattle Seahawks 2025 schedule released, here are all 17 matchups Marymoor Park announces 2025 summer concert series lineup in Redmond, WA Viral TikTok captures truck break-in after Seattle Mariners game, despite police presence Bryan Kohberger back in court for pretrial hearing in Idaho students murder case 'Scared of accountability': Crowd calls out West Seattle leaders at public safety meeting FBI nabs Thurston County, WA fugitive hundreds of miles from crime scene To get the best local news, weather and sports in Seattle for free, sign up for the daily FOX Seattle Newsletter. Seattle weather: Cool showers continue into the weekend
The Brief It's a cool Friday for our region, with temperatures below the average for today. Rainy conditions will continue into the weekend. Warmer weather will make a comeback early next week. SEATTLE - Cool and showery conditions will persist Friday and through the weekend for western Washington. The first half of Friday will remain mainly dry for the Puget Sound area, but another round of widespread rain is expected during the evening commute and into the overnight period. Highs on Friday will remain cool, with temperatures about 10 degrees below average for this time of year. Saturday will bring more showers as another disturbance moves across the area. There is a slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms mostly south and east of Puget Sound. A Puget Sound Convergence Zone could also set up in King or Snohomish counties, bringing steadier and heavier rain to those locations into the early evening. Sunday will be drier, but there will still be a few showers in the mix. Next week looks drier and warmer starting Tuesday. Have a great weekend! Seattle weather: Soggy and cloudy for Mother's Day
SEATTLE - Pockets of heavy rain and even lightning strikes are a possibility for Mother's Day in Seattle. Make sure to keep a rain jacket and umbrella close by. Highs will lift from the upper 50s to the low 60s in Seattle on Sunday afternoon. If you have plans to celebrate the mother figures in your life, I'd suggest having a 'plan b' for going inside should soggy and stormy weather develop. Any thunderstorms will be isolated in nature. While rain may make driving difficult, we're not expecting storms to be anywhere near the "severe" threshold. Tomorrow, there's a slightly better chance of thunder, but the possibility is still small. Monday will be a weird weather day: at times there could be sunbreaks. At other points, it might be damp. On Tuesday, we'll likely manage to have a dry day. Isolated showers are possible on Wednesday. Thursday might be dry during much of the day before showers return in the linger on Friday. Wetter weather may be in store for Saturday. Stay tuned for the latest on your forecast. This outlook is subject to change. Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mother figures out there!Warmly, Meteorologist Abby Acone New area code coming to Seattle area in June. Grayer, cooler and wetter weather ahead in Seattle
SEATTLE - After enjoying marvelous sunshine and toasty temperatures in the 70s on Friday, Seattle is gearing up for cooler, cloudier and wetter weather this Mother's Day weekend. Highs on Saturday afternoon will reach the low to mid 60s with mostly cloudy skies. There might be a stray, light shower today, but most backyards will wind up dry. Tomorrow for Mother's Day, there's a slightly better chance of showers, but the rain won't be constant nor widespread. Still, I'd recommend having a 'plan b' for going inside to celebrate mom should showers develop. It'll be mostly cloudy as well with highs in the low 60s. If there are any sunbreaks, they would be rather fleeting. I can't rule out a couple of lightning strikes tomorrow. Monday's weather could be a little interesting. There could be times of sunbreaks - and other moments with rain or even a few thunderstorms and small hail. Thereafter, we're forecasting mostly cloudy skies through the rest of the workweek with highs in the 60s and occasional showers. Have a wonderful time celebrating the moms and mother figures in your life this weekend!Take good care, Meteorologist Abby Acone New area code coming to Seattle area in June.
