WANTED: Opelika police need help finding couple in hotel theft

OPELIKA, Ala. () — The Opelika Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying two individuals believed to be connected to a hotel theft that occurred in late April. According to investigators, around 10:00 p.m. on April 21, 2025, an unidentified man and woman entered a hotel in Opelika and stole a suitcase containing approximately $500 worth of personal items. The name of the hotel has not been disclosed as the investigation remains active. Surveillance footage captured images of the suspects. The first individual is described as a white female with long red or strawberry blonde hair. She was wearing a white and tan striped tank top, blue jeans, and black boots at the time of the incident. The second individual is described as a white male with a mustache. He was seen wearing a white and gray hat, a white long-sleeved shirt with a large blue 'S' on the front, blue jeans, and black sneakers. The pair left the scene in a blue 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Three men have been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a 21-year-old man at Potomac Park, sheriff's officials said Tuesday. Isaac Barraza, 19, was arrested on suspicion of murder in the Feb. 4 death of Rolando German Ramirez Vargas, officials said. CSUB accounting students offering free tax preparation services Two others — Mario Bravo, 18, and Joseph Truskoski, 19 — were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and accessory after the fact, according to the sheriff's office. Detectives are looking into more suspects, officials said. On Feb. 23, 2008, Saul Vaca, 21, was shot and killed on Belmont St in Delano. 1 male dead after shooting at Potomac Park: KCSO Vaca was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
