Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours. According to Bahrain News Agency, HM King attended a horse racing festival, marking a significant event in the Kingdom. Furthermore, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was noted for visiting Ramadan majlises across the Kingdom, fostering community engagement and discussions during the holy month. The Shura Council Chairman commended the Secretariat General for securing international certifications in IT security and service management. This achievement reflects the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to enhance its technological infrastructure and service quality. In another commendable diplomatic gesture, the SCIA Chairman extended congratulations to the Al Azhar Grand Imam on the anniversary of Al Azhar Mosque, highlighting the importance of cultural and religious ties. Shura Council Chairman Applauds Secretariat General's Achievement in Securing International ISO Certifications
Manama: Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh emphasised that the Secretariat General's attainment of two international ISO certifications, ISO 27001:2022 for information security management and ISO 20000-1:2018 for IT service management, marks a significant achievement in supporting digital transformation initiatives that enhance legislative work. According to Bahrain News Agency, earning these certifications after meeting all necessary audit requirements reflects the success of the strategies and plans implemented in this field. The chairman highlighted that this accomplishment builds on recent advancements in digital transformation and artificial intelligence within the Secretariat General, under the leadership of Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Shura Council. He emphasised the Council's commitment to adopting the latest technologies to enhance its infrastructure, software, systems, and procedures. The certifications serve as international recognition of the Council's adherence to global best practices in IT security and management. Al Saleh commended the Secretariat General's efforts, noting its commitment to excellence and teamwork in executing key digital transformation projects, strengthening information security frameworks, and delivering high quality electronic services that meet international standards. ISO 27001 is a globally recognised certification that enhances governance and risk management in information security, while ISO 20000-1 is a leading certification that ensures the highest standards of quality, security, and excellence in IT service management.
