The action followed a complaint lodged by Suraj Bhola, representing the Sector 9A RWA. Upon inspection, the officials found that the hospital installed an illegal 50 mm diameter water pipeline, which resulted in significant water scarcity in Sector 9A.
"We have made it clear that if the hospital management does not pay the fine within seven days, legal action will be taken. We urge residents and commercial establishments not to take illegal connections and obtain approval from the corporation before connecting water lines. We clarified that strict actions against illegal connections will continue in the future," said assistant engineer Dalip Singh Yadav, who led the drive to snap the illegal connection on Tuesday.
Bhola complained about the scarcity of drinking water regularly on May 11, stating an illegal connection was installed without approval.
