Affies blaze past Selborne in fiery finale at KES Easter Festival
The final day of the KES Easter Festival delivered exactly what it promised — drama, intensity, and school pride at its finest. The spotlight was firmly on the rugby field as Selborne College went head-to-head with Affies in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the weekend.
From the very first whistle, Affies came out firing. With a style that can only be described as ferocious, they stormed the pitch like a house on fire — sharp, structured, and utterly unstoppable. Selborne fought bravely, showing moments of flair and determination, but they were ultimately overwhelmed by their opponents' sheer pace and power.
Affies' attacking display was nothing short of clinical. Try after try, they dismantled Selborne's defence precisely, racking up an impressive 57 points. Despite trailing on the scoreboard, Selborne refused to back down, pushing through for 19 well-earned points of their own. But the day belonged to Affies, who marched off the field with a commanding 57–19 victory.
As the sun sets on another spectacular day at the festival, the excitement isn't over yet. With plenty more thrilling rugby and fiercely contested hockey matches still to come, the KES Easter Festival continues to serve up a feast of schoolboy sport at its very best.
