Blues musician Selby Minner dies
Blues musician Selby Minner has died, friends and family have confirmed.
Minner's granddaughter, Micaela Minner of Akron, Ohio, said she was told about Minner's death Tuesday night.
"She was absolutely amazing," Micaela said. "We would be talking and she wouldn't get off the phone because she didn't want to let me go."
Shironbutterfly Ray called Minner a "soul sister." Ray said she recently was talking with Minner about the upcoming 35th anniversary of the Dusk 'Til Dawn Blues Festival.
Minner and the late D.C. Minner founded the Festival.
