Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have been friends for several years now. They first crossed paths in 2008. The two singers even celebrate each other on social media, marking birthdays and album drops.
Taylor Swift Masters Dispute
The dispute dates back to 2019, when celebrity music manager Scooter Braun bought Swift's former record label, Big Machine, and all her songs, including Speak Now, Fearless, Red, 1989, and Reputation.
Since then, Swift had been raising personal objections to the deal, even blaming Braun for launching 'incessant, manipulative bullying" against her via his client, Kanye West. During this time, the singer even resorted to re-recording her first six albums as a way to regain ownership. Throughout the feud, many celebrities took sides, with Gomez, Halsey, Ed Sheeran and Camilla Cabello siding with Swift. Scooter Braun received support from the likes of Demi Lovato and Justin Bieber.
After Taylor Swift regained her master recordings, Braun said that he was 'happy" for her, as per reports.
