Princess Beatrice Channels Princess Kate in Self-Portrait—and Recycles a Dress from Grandma Queen Elizabeth's Memorial Vigil

Self-Portrait's tailored tweed dresses and delicate lace midis have proven to be a staple in royal wardrobes in recent years, with everyone from Queen Letizia of Spain and Sweden's Princess Sofia to Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle sporting the brand's designs. One particular style has come up again and again at royal events, and Princess Beatrice showed the versatility of one of her favorite dresses at the FEVO Sports Industry Awards on May 15. The royal—who gave birth to her second daughter, Athena, in February—wore a black version of the ivory Self-Portrait blazer dress Princess Kate sported at a VE Day concert last week. The belted design features a jacket with satin lapels over a floaty chiffon skirt, and it's been seen multiple times on both Beatrice and Kate, who also owns the same black design. Princess Beatrice first wore the style at a vigil for Queen Elizabeth in September 2022, pairing it with a black hat as she stood by her grandmother's coffin. Two days later, royal cousin Flora Vesterberg wore the same Self-Portrait dress to the late Queen's funeral. View Deal To keep the twinning vibes going, Princess Beatrice wore a similar style as Kate's ivory Self-Portrait dress to support premature birth charity Borne in March. On Thurday, the princess paired her outfit with another style beloved by the Princess of Wales, carrying an embroidered black Aspinal of London Midi Mayfair purse. Thursday's event marked Beatrice's second stylish appearance of the week after attending an Elephant Family charity event with Queen Camilla and King Charles. She turned to Rebecca Vallance for the party, wearing a short-sleeved red brocade gown and $34,000 in Chopard diamonds. The Rebecca Vallance style made another appearance at the FEVO Sports Industry Awards—but on another member of the Royal Family. Beatrice's cousin Zara Tindall wore the same gown, but in black, on the red carpet, showing great style (once again) runs in the family. View Deal View Deal View Deal View Deal

Kate finished off the photo shoot at a house in West London. One of the stunner's latest outing saw her cut a casual figure in a blazer and jeans but she swapped her usual accessories for a cigarette and a Corona. She appeared relaxed during her stroll through central London as she made her way to visit a pal. Although there's no suggestion Kate was drinking the beer, the sight of her with the alcoholic beverage will no doubt raise eyebrows among fans after the former party girl went sober in 2018. Back in March, Kate was captured on video while posing for pictures in the front row of the Isabel Marant fall 2025 ready-to-wear showcase in the French capital. With her hands in the pockets of her black leather jacket, Kate crossed her legs and jerked from side to side while talking to a man next to her. She was then seen turning around to chat to a woman sat behind her. But when Kate realised the camera was on her, she turned to the front and began frantically posing. The clip quickly went viral on social media, with fans expressing their concerns. Self-Portrait links up with Jisoo again for AI pre-fall campaign

Self-Portrait is known for its campaign link-ups with famous faces and it's clearly happy with the two previous campaigns with K-pop star Jisoo as it's back for a third time. The superstar Blackpink singer and actress is fronting the pre-fall 2025 campaign shot by Drew Vickers in Seoul, South Korea. The use of Vickers is interesting because he's become known for his atmospheric use of AI. Called Dreams of Past Lives, the new campaign places Jisoo at the centre of a series of imagined, AI-generated backdrops. The company said the collection itself is 1960s-inspired but 'reimagined for today'. And the supporting campaign unfolds across scenes 'that feel both retro and futuristic — like memories of places that never quite existed. The result is nostalgic and futuristic, hyperreal and synthetic, with Jisoo flickering between dreamscapes'. Han Chong, Self-Portrait's founder and creative director, said: 'We've always used our campaigns to tell stories – but working with Drew and this kind of technology let us blur the line between what's real and what's imagined. The AI wasn't there to replace anything, but to build new worlds for Jisoo to inhabit. It felt like the perfect way to reflect the mood of the collection: familiar but surreal, nostalgic but completely new.' In the images she wears items such as a nylon windbreaker over a gingham bandeau and houndstooth mini skort. Plus there are pieces more traditionally associated with the label such as a white blouse in its signature lace styled with a cream denim beaded skirt and other key pieces. Han Chong added of Jisoo: 'Even with everything she's achieved, there's still a sense of mystery about her, and I think that's what makes her such a compelling face for the brand. There's a natural creative rhythm between us that makes each campaign feel like a continuation of a conversation we're still having.'

Self-Portrait founder hails Jisoo as a 'compelling face' for the brand

Blackpink star Jisoo has become a "compelling face" for the Self-Portrait brand. The 30-year-old singer has collaborated with the London-based fashion label for the third time for its pre-fall 2025 campaign, and Han Chong, the founder and creative director of Self-Portrait, is thrilled to be working with Jisoo once again. Speaking to Women's Wear Daily, he explained: "Even with everything she's achieved, there's still a sense of mystery about her, and I think that's what makes her such a compelling face for the brand. "There's a natural creative rhythm between us that makes each campaign feel like a continuation of a conversation we're still having." For the label's new campaign, Jisoo posed against a series of AI-generated backdrops that were inspired by 60s style and fashion. Han said: "We've always used our campaigns to tell stories, but working with Vickers and this kind of technology let us blur the line between what's real and what's imagined. The AI wasn't there to replace anything, but to build new worlds for Jisoo to inhabit." Jisoo - who is best known for her appearances in Blackpink, the chart-topping girl group - has relished working with the brand and being part of Self-Portrait's latest campaign. The music star - who has also enjoyed success as a solo artist - said: "Working with Chong and Self-Portrait is always really inspiring. "I feel completely empowered to be myself while at the same time having the freedom to tap into the different sides of my personality and style. There is a real sense of trust between Chong and I, and I feel with this new campaign we have dreamed up something really new and refreshing." Jisoo and Han have actually been working together since 2017, when he started dressing the singer on- and off-stage. Han has relished the experience of collaborating with the singer, describing Jisoo as a "role model to so many". He previously told Women's Wear Daily: "[Musicians] have always been a part of the Self-Portrait story, and this was a natural progression. "I also have a very diverse audience, and Jisoo is inspiring to my customer. She is a role model to so many."
