June's 2025 Caring for the Carolina's Community Service Hero

(WSPA) – 'Time for us to head out into the community…' Jamarcus Gaston, Caring for the Carolina co-host, said. 'And meet this month's Community Service Hero,' Megan Heidlberg, Caring for the Carolina co-host, said. 'I am very blessed to still have my husband with us, and his calling at the time when he was so sick, he said. God's not done with me yet,' Darcy Walker, secretary of the Seneca Blazers of Oconee and wife of award recipient, said. 'He trained us up very, very well by the time we got to high school. We won three state championships,' Israel Williams, coach of the Seneca Blazers of Oconee, said. 'He not only builds you up, but helps build your character too out here,' Tosh Bradley, coach of the Seneca Blazers of Oconee, said. 'James is my grandpa and he is the best coach I've ever had,' Mysterious 'Duke' Bradley, assistant coach of the Seneca Blazers of Oconee and grandson of the award recipient, said. 'And the coach taught me how to coach better. Taught me how to deal with kids better,' Michael Alexander, coach of the Seneca Blazers of Oconee, said. 'There is no better person more deserving than this award than my daddy,' Destiny Walker, daughter of the award recipient. 'We're just glad to be a part of what he's got going on and hope we can help him succeed at being the best track coach he can be,' Brian Gibbs, coach of the Seneca Blazers of Oconee, said. 'That's what I've been doing this for 20-something years. It's just the love that the kids show you. And the love that you show the kids. And I'm just thankful to God that I'm able to do it. And I thank God every night that he blessed me with the coaches that I have that I coached when they was young,' Coach James Walker, the award recipient, said. 'I like to give thanks to the Seneca High School, who allows us to use this track to do what we gotta do. Coach Bay, Coach White, thank y'all for everything that you do for this track club. And I just love it.' 'Go Seneca Blazers,' Kevin Bradley, coach of the Seneca Blazers of Oconee, said. 'Congratulations to our winner,' Gaston said. 'And thanks to our sponsors,' Heidlberg said.
