In Haryana Board of School Education's Class 12 results, girls outperform boys by 7.55%

Girl students have again outperformed boys in the Haryana Board of School Education's Class 12 exams. In the results declared on Tuesday, girls' pass percentage is 7.55 per cent higher than that of boys. In 2024, girls outperformed boys by 5.62 per cent. Prof Pawan Kumar, Chairman of the Haryana Board of School Education, said that 1,93,828 candidates appeared for the Senior Secondary (Academic) regular examination. Out of them, 1,66,031 candidates passed and 7,900 failed. The board chairman stated that the pass percentage of Senior Secondary (Academic) regular candidates is 85.66 per cent, while that of private candidates is 63.21 per cent. Of the 97,561 female candidates, 87,227 passed, achieving a pass percentage of 89.41 per cent, whereas of the 96,267 male candidates, 78,804 passed, with a pass percentage of 81.86 per cent. The pass percentage for arts is 85.31 per cent, science 83.05 per cent, and commerce 92.20 per cent. This year, government schools recorded a pass percentage of 84.67 per cent, while private schools achieved 86.98 per cent. Rural students had a pass percentage of 85.94 per cent, whereas urban students recorded 85.03 per cent. Among districts, Jind came at the top, while Nuh ranked the lowest in pass percentage. The chairman also said that from Tuesday evening, affiliated schools or institutions can download the results by logging into the board's website using their user ID and password. Board Vice-Chairman Satish Kumar stated that the pass percentage for private Senior Secondary candidates is 63.21 per cent. Out of 3,419 candidates, 2,161 passed. Private candidates can check their results by entering their roll number, name, father's name, mother's name, and date of birth. Regular students can also check their results using their roll number and date of birth. The board office will not be responsible for any technical glitches or errors. Board Secretary Dr Munish Nagpal stated that the results for the Senior Secondary Open School Annual Examination 2025 (Fresh & Reappear) were also declared. The pass percentage for Senior Secondary Open School (Fresh) is 36.35 per cent, and for Reappear candidates, it is 49.93 per cent. Candidates can check their results on by entering their roll number, name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, or registration number. Dr Nagpal added that in the Senior Secondary Open School (Fresh) examination, 14,144 candidates appeared and 5,141 of them passed, achieving a pass percentage of 36.35 per cent. Of the 9,055 male candidates, 2,889 passed, with a pass percentage of 31.91 per cent, whereas of the 5,089 female candidates, 2,252 passed, recording a pass percentage of 44.25 per cent. The pass percentage for rural students was 33.39 per cent, whereas urban students achieved 42.33 per cent. The pass percentage for Senior Secondary Open School (Reappear) was 49.93 per cent. In this category, 8,045 candidates appeared and 4,017 of them passed. Dr Nagpal said that candidates wishing to apply for the revaluation or rechecking of their answer sheets can submit online applications within 20 days from the date of result declaration, along with the prescribed fee.
