Railway Protection Force drive in villages to prevent people from pelting stones on trains and tracks
Nashik: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) in the Bhusawal division has initiated a special drive targeting villages situated along the railway tracks. This proactive measure aims to address the concerning issue of objects being thrown at moving trains and the deliberate placement of obstructions on the tracks. According to authorities from RPF Bhusawal, this drive was prompted by a series of complaints received by the railway administration. These complaints detailed incidents of objects being hurled at trains at multiple locations within the division. An RPF officer, while talking to TOI, said, "We received complaints about people throwing stones at the trains. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported to date. However, we observed an increasing trend in the number of such incidents." The officer further highlighted the dangerous practice of placing objects on the tracks. "Loco pilots have reported a significant number of instances where stones and other materials were found placed on the railway tracks at various points. This poses a serious risk of damage to train wheels and could potentially lead to future accidents," he added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like In Saarbrücken tragen Seniorinnen jetzt diesen Komfortschuh Seniorinnen-Trend Undo RPF personnel conducted a campaign in villages near Amravati, Murtijapur, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Khandwa, Jalgaon, and Manmad to deter stone-throwing and placing of objects on the tracks.
