Space Startup Iceye Boosts Poland Investment to Meet Army Demand
Iceye Oy, the Finnish maker of advanced Earth-observation satellites, plans further investments in Poland as it sees increased demand from countries that want to improve their intelligence-gathering capabilities in space.
Iceye, which has raised more than $500 million from investors such as BlackRock Inc. and Seraphim Space Investment Trust PLC, already employs about 150 people in Poland, where it oversees its fleet and runs one of its research and manufacturing centers.
