UPDATE: Second suspect involved in deadly Christmas Eve shooting arrested
MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- A second person has been arrested in connection with the deadly Christmas Eve shooting in Midland that killed 49-year-old Seward Lorenzo Swann. 21-year-old Joshua Dwyane Hunter of Midland has been charged with Murder, a first-degree felony.
What we know:
According to previous reports, the shooting took place around 10:00 p.m., on December 24 in the 5000 block of Pleasant Drive.
At the scene, investigators found 49-year-old Seward Lorenzo Swann suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Swann was then transported to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Throughout the investigation, officials spoke with a cooperating witness and a co-actor, who were able to identify Hunter and two other individuals involved in the shooting.
One of the individuals, identified as 18-year-old Avantea Lee Rice Jr was arrested on Sunday, February 2, and also charged with Murder.

Based on witness statements, anonymous tips, and speaking with a co-actor, authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Hunter on Tuesday, February 4, who was arrested later that day.
There is no set bail at this time. We will keep you updated as more information is released.
