USI's Raley and Shafford recognized with All-OVC honors

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — The Ohio Valley Conference announces that University of Southern Indiana Women's Basketball graduate forward Meredith Raley and senior guard Vanessa Shafford were recognized with All-OVC honors for the second consecutive year. Raley was named to the All-OVC First Team for 2024-2025 and her scoring this season ranked top 10 in the OVC while leading the conference in field goal percentage. During the conference season, Raley earned OVC Player of the Week following a new career mark of 29 points at Southeast Missouri State University on January 9. Shafford was named to the All-OVC Second Team and was top 15 in the OVC in overall scoring. During league play, Shafford averaged 12.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. During the OVC season, Shafford also broke the USI Women's Basketball record for most three-pointers made at the University of Arkansas on January 12.
