One detained under NSA for pro-Pakistan posts on social media
One person from Palayamkottai was detained under the National Security Act (NSA) on Friday for posting pro-Pakistan messages on social media.
An official statement from City Police said G. Shaik Mohammed, 48, of Viswa Brahmin Street in Palayamkottai had posted anti-India and pro-Pakistan posts on the social media with reference to India's recent conflict with the neighbouring country.
Since the post was against India's sovereignty and had been posted with the motive of undermining communal harmony, Shaik Mohammed was detained under the NSA on Friday and lodged in Palayamkottai Central Prison, the statement said.
