Ministry of Education takes part in GHEDEX

Muscat, April 8 The Ministry of Education represented by the Vocational Guidance and Student Counselling Centre and the Directorate-General of Private Schools are participating in the 24th edition of the Global Higher Education Exhibition (GHEDEX 2025), which is being held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 7 to 9. Shaikh Yaqoub al Shuhimi, Director-General of the Vocational Guidance and Student Counselling Centre, said: 'The Vocational Guidance and Student Counselling Centre is participating in a number of diverse educational activities in the professional, psychological and social fields, and in the fields of scientific, literary and artistic educational activities, with the participation of 36 student companies from public and private schools, so that participants can be informed of local and international academic and professional trends that will contribute to planning to choose their educational programmes and specialisations according to future opportunities.' The Directorate-General of Private Schools is participating in the exhibition to highlight the latest practices in private school education, enhance communication with various stakeholders in this sector, and showcase innovative experiences and modern ideas applied in private school education, which contribute to raising the quality of education. Amr bin Abdullah Baabood, CEO of Arabian Data Analytics, said: 'By organising the Global Higher Education Exhibition in all its editions, we sought to make it a pivotal platform to support the education sector in the Sultanate of Oman, by providing an interactive environment that brings together students, parents and educational institutions from within and outside Oman. The diversity of accompanying events and activities, including conferences, training workshops and student projects, contributes to achieving Oman Vision 2040 goals towards high-quality education and promoting innovation in the education sector. We look forward to hosting a group of elite local and international educational institutions and contributing to shaping the future of education and training in Oman.' He added: "Strengthening our partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, and the Ministry of Labour is an important step towards supporting the educational process in the Sultanate of Oman and benefiting from the exhibition's various activities, which contribute to developing students' skills and preparing them for the job market."
