Moreover, the reps also confirmed that Singh is currently busy with his shooting for Dhurandhar and Don 3. According to the previously published reports, Khanna did not want Singh to play the role of the superhero. He revealed to a media outlet that the actor came in and sat in front of him for three hours. However, the Mahabharat actor did not find what it needs to be a Shaktimaan in Ranveer. The veteran star went on to state, 'He looks fickle as if he will con somebody. But he is a terrific actor. When I praised him, I mentioned that nobody else in the film industry has the energy like him. But I haven't approved him for the role. He must have felt bad." Ranveer Singh's upcoming projects As for his upcoming movies, Singh will next appear in Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar. The filmmaker is popularly known for his work in Vicky Kaushal starrer, URI: The Surgical Strike. Additionally, the actor will also star alongside Kiara Advani in the Farhan Akhtar-hailed Don 3. If reports are to be trusted, the Rocky aur Rani star will play the role of Dev in Brahmastra 2. There has been no official confirmation about it yet.

After months of speculations that actor Ranveer Singh is set to produce a new Shaktimaan project and collaborate with original creator Mukesh Khanna, his team has come forward to quash any such claims. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor's team has issued a statement clarifying that there is no truth to actor acquiring rights of the superhero show. In an earlier interview, Mukesh stated that Ranveer had tried to convince him to let him play the superhero in a new adaptation. Mukesh told Bollywood Thikana, "That poor guy (Ranveer Singh) was sitting in front of me for three hours. But it doesn't reflect on his face, what it needs to play Shaktimaan. Reportedly, the film is drawing inspiration from real-life covert operations led by India's current National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval.

Ranveer's team has confirmed that he is not producing any Shaktimaan series at the moment. This news was confirmed by the actor's team to India Today. Earlier, Mukesh Khanna had said on Shardul Pandit's podcast that Ranveer was extremely interested in being a part of 'Shaktimaan'. He had said, "For the last four years, people have been asking me this question. Two years were lost to the COVID era, and the other two got tangled in controversy." He added further, "Ranveer Singh was very eager—desperate, even—to do Shaktimaan. I've said many good things about him. But in the end, I had to clarify: I never said he is Shaktimaan. I praised his performance, his energy—he spent three hours with me and was very passionate about the role. But I want to see Shaktimaan as Shaktimaan. I've lived with that character for 30 years.
