Sharjah Ruler appoints Director of Al Dhaid's SNQSE
10 June 2025 14:12 SHARJAH (WAM)His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree regarding the transfer and appointment of a director for the branch of the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE). The Decree stipulated that Saleh Obaid Salem Balith Al Tunaiji, Director of Al Dhaid Cultural Centre at the Department of Culture in the Emirate of Sharjah, shall be transferred to the SNQSE and appointed as Director of the SNQSE's branch in the city of Al Dhaid, and shall serve as a member of the SNQSE's Board of Directors.

SNQSE honours 20 winners in Quran competition
Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment organised the closing ceremony for the Ramadan competition for government employees in the Emirate of Sharjah, in its ninth edition for the year 1446 AH / 2025 AD, on Wednesday at the Sharjah Quran Academy , following the competition held during the last Ramadan. This year, the competition witnessed significant participation, with 153 contestants from government employees competing in memorising three surahs from the Holy Quran during Ramadan: Surah Al-Jumu'ah, Al-Saff, and Al-Mumtahana. The competition achieved its goals of enhancing the relationship with the Quran and encouraging employees to recite, memorize, and improve their recitation. Ceremony attendance The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment, Her Excellency Aisha Al-Huwaidi, Board Member, His Excellency Omar Ali Al-Shamsi, Director of the Establishment, His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Saud Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah International Airport Authority, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Khalaf Al-Hosani, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Quran Academy , along with several representatives and officials from participating governmental and semi-governmental entities. The ceremony began with the national anthem and the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. In his speech, His Excellency Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk praised the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi,Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the Establishment's initiatives and efforts in serving the Holy Quran. He emphasized that this competition reflects Sharjah's commitment to connecting employees with their culture and identity, encouraging them to memorize and recite the Quran in a work environment that fosters values and ethics. He noted that this competition represents a competitive Quranic movement that enhances Sharjah's status as a hub of knowledge and Islamic identity, adding that the strong interaction from participants reflects employees' awareness of the Quran's value and its role in promoting moderation and tolerance in society. He expressed deep appreciation to all participants and supporters, affirming the commitment to continue expanding the scope of competitions in the future to strengthen employees' connection with the Holy Quran, with hopes of meeting again in upcoming sessions that promise more excellence and achievement, God willing. The ceremony also showcased the Establishment's efforts in organising Quranic competitions and activities throughout the year, highlighting the importance of sustaining such initiatives to support the governmental work environment with faith-based values. Winners recognition During the ceremony, 20 male and female winners from various entities were honored, alongside seven supportive governmental entities for the Establishment's activities, as well as those whose representatives secured the top three positions in both male and female categories. In the female competition, several employees from different entities excelled, with Mira Abdullah Ibrahim Khalil Al Ali from Sharjah International Airport Authority taking first place, followed by Tasneem Mansour Abu Talib Ahmed Al Ali from the Social Services Department, and Amal Mohammed Ali Mohammed Al Hammadi from Sharjah Academy for Space Science and Technology. Hiba Khairuddin Jadallah from the University of Sharjah secured fourth place, and Shaikha Yaqoub Yusuf Abdullah Al-Ousi from the Child Safety Department came in fifth. In the male competition, Ahmad Imran Hassan from Sharjah Investment and Development Authority won first place, followed by Huzaifa Mohammed Al-Hamiri from Sharjah Book Authority in second place, and Samir Abdul-Ma'ati Aqeel from Kalba Municipality in third place. Muhammad Abdul-Jawad from Mleiha Club took fourth place, while Mansour Rashid Al-Ajied Al-Ketbi from Mleiha Municipality came in fifth.

Central Region Quran Award celebrates 142 memorisers
Honouring the Winners The Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment held a special ceremony to honour the distinguished group of Quran memorisers who won in this year's edition. The event was attended by a number of officials as well as the families of the contestants. A Message of Gratitude to the Ruler of Sharjah Al Tunaiji extended his deepest thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He praised His Highness's generous support and ongoing commitment to the Establishment, which annually celebrates a new generation of Quran memorisers and fosters a spirit of excellence in memorisation and recitation. A Spirit of Beautiful Competition In a statement to 'Sharjah 24,' Al Tunaiji highlighted the beauty of the competition in this year's edition, noting the high level of skill and mastery displayed by the participants in memorising and reciting the Quran. Dibba Al Hisn Club honors 16th Holy Quran Competition winners
During the ceremony, there was a video presentation honoring Sheikh Zayed for his dedication to promoting kindness and good values. Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa spoke about the significance of the Quran competition in helping participants learn important religious and moral values. He highlighted that this annual event is one the club is proud to host, thanks to collaboration with the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment and generous support from Sharjah Charity International. Sheikh Hassan Amira and Sheikh Khorshid Ahmed Hafez were recognized for their roles in spreading knowledge and teaching the Holy Quran. Mahra Abdulaziz Murad Al-Amiri, who achieved first place in the GCC Quran memorization competition for individuals with disabilities, was also recognized for her remarkable accomplishment, serving as a source of pride for many. The club also honored Mohammed Rashid Rushoud, a member of the Cultural Committee, for his hard work in supporting cultural and heritage events, helping to strengthen national identity and preserve local traditions. 195 participants compete in Al Dhaid Ramadan Quran competition
Intense qualifying rounds The qualifying stage commenced yesterday at the club's headquarters, attended by Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of Al Dhaid Club, Khalifa Mubarak Dalmouk Al Ketbi, Head of the Cultural Committee, and Mehir Obaid Al Khayyal Al Teneiji, the club's Executive Director. Participants competed across various categories, ranging from one to twenty Juz' (chapter). Strong partnerships for success Organised in collaboration with the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment, the competition featured expert judging panels to ensure accuracy and fairness. This partnership was widely appreciated for enhancing the quality and credibility of the event.
