Miley Cyrus Releases New Album Something Beautiful : Listen and Read the Full Credits

Miley Cyrus in 'Easy Lover,' directed by Miley Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter Miley Cyrus has released her new album, Something Beautiful. The follow-up to 2023's Endless Summer Vacation boasts contributions from a slew of notable musicians, including Foxygen's Jonathan Rado, Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard, and the War on Drugs' Adam Granduciel. Cyrus executive-produced Something Beautiful with Shawn Everett, who also plays a number of instruments on the album. In addition, Everett mixed and mastered the LP at his own Subtle McNugget Studios in Los Angeles. Summary Miley Cyrus's ambitious new projectSomething Beautiful, is rolling out in multiple phases, blending a new studio album with a full-length visual film. The 'Something Beautiful' album, featuring 13 original songs, officially dropped today, May 30, 2025, via Columbia Records. This release follows earlier promotional singles like 'End of the World.' Most of the album was helmed by producer/engineer Shawn Everett who previously worked with Weezer, Leighton Meester, Kim Gordan and more. Miley Cyrus breaks down in tears in new music video fans think is about ex Liam Hemsworth
has released More To Lose, her fourth single from her upcoming album Something Beautiful. The video for the song also dropped on Friday and is a simple, black and white video featuring Miley singing about a relationship that isn't going well. As the video began, Miley, 32, vulnerably sheds tears as she sings. The chorus reads: 'I stay / When the ecstasy is far away / And I pray / That it's comin' 'round again,' Miley sang on the ballad's chorus. 'And you say it / But I wish it wasn't true, oh / I knew someday that one would have to choose / I just thought we had more to lose.' In the middle of the video Miley wears a sparkly, strapless gown and at the end of is dressed in a black trench coat with a Batman-style head covering. The song comes after her recent three releases, Prelude, Something Beautiful, and End Of The World, all of which feature on the upcoming album. More To Lose was written and produced with Autumn Rowe, Michael Pollack, Jonathan Rado, Shawn Everett, and BJ Burton. Something Beautiful is Miley's ninth studio album and will be released on May 30. Fans have speculated that the man Miley is singing about in her recent tune is her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, 35, but she has never explicitly said who the song is about. In a teaser video for the song, Miley said: 'On a song like More to Lose, I tried to keep it a singular take. 'I added my harmonies or ad libs at the end, but it's really a song that's more of a story, and I never want that to be interrupted, or overthought, or chasing perfection. 'I never wanted More to Lose to feel perfect—I wanted it to sound meaningful and emotional.' The first verse reads: 'The more I stay, the less I go/We're toe to toe, but I'm hanging on the wire/Stumbled down the same road before/Say I'm leavin', but I'm only playing liar 'Cause when you're lookin' like/ A movie star in a worn-out coat /Yeah, throw away my mind/ And it happens all the time.' It is not difficult to conclude that this verse was written about Hemsworth and her taking him back in 2016 after they split for the first time in 2013. Miley admitted she's overstayed her welcome as she tried to leave but couldn't both in the song and in her marriage. During a Q&A with Spotify earlier this week, Miley opened up about losing her house during the 2018 Woolsey fire in Malibu where she lost everything, but felt like it was 'the biggest blessing.' She said: 'Losing everything and being able to rebuild and be purposeful and choose every piece that I'm going to collect - or also just about the people in my life. 'When my house burned down, a lot of my relationships also burned down, and that just led me to such magic and to have so much gratitude. 'I would've told my younger self to appreciate those darker times because, like I said, they are only leading you into the light.' Miley and Hemsworth divorced eight months after their house burned down in November 2018.
